'Operation Christmas Drop': Meet Kat Graham, Alexander Ludwig and the rest of the cast of Netflix's holiday romcom

Congressional aide Erica Miller is forced to miss Christmas with her family and assigned to a beachside air force base to find reasons to close the facility

'Operation Christmas Drop' is an upcoming holiday romantic comedy coming to Netflix just in time for the joyous season of Christmas. It follows congressional aide Erica Miller (Kat Graham) as she is given an assignment at a beachside air force base and has to leave her family behind for the holidays, as she tries to figure out if the mission conducted on the base is worth continuing. While there, she meets Captain Andrew Jantz (Alexander Ludwig) who disagrees with her, when it comes to closing down the mission and Miller ends up experiencing a Christmas that she had never experienced before. Here is the cast bringing the holiday film to life.

Graham is known for her works in 'How It Ends' (2018), 'Cut Throat City' (2020), 'All Eyez on Me' (2017) and of course, 'The Vampire Diares' (2009-2017). Her most recent works include 'Eye for an Eye' (2019), 'Robot Chicken' (2019), 'Fashionably Yours' (2020), 'Emperor' (2020) and 'TrollsTopia' (2020). In 2017, the actress won a Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi for 'The Vampire Diaries', and 2011 she had also won Teen Choice Award for Choice TV: Female Scene Stealer for the same production. In 2019, the actress was awarded an award for Humanitarian in Film at the Westfield International Film Festival.

Ludwig is an actor, producer and a writer known for his works in 'Vikings' (2014-2020), 'The Hunger Games' (2012), 'Lone Survivor' (2013) and 'Bad Boys for Life' (2020). In 2012, the actor won a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Villain in 'The Hunger Games' (2012), and that same year won a MTV Movie Award for Best Fight in the same production which he shared with Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson. In 2018, the actor also won a Canadian Screen Award for Best Lead Actor, Drama Series for 'Vikings' (2013). The actor has two releases titled 'Swing' and 'Night Teeth' in pos-production, and a release titled 'Heels' in pre-production.

Madsen is known for her roles as Maya in 'Sideways' (2004), Helen Lyle in 'Candyman' (1992), Katherine in 'The Prophecy' (1995) and Princess Irulan in 'Dune' (1984). Her recent works include 'The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair' (2018), 'Elementary' (2016-2019), and 'Swamp Thing' (2019). She has a release titled 'The Devil's Light' in post-production, and three other releases in pre-production titled 'Sarah', 'Road to Capri', and 'Resilient 3D'. In 2005, the talent actress was nomainted for an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for 'Sideways' and that same year was nomianted for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for the same production. In 2012, she was awarded the Tribute Award at the Baja International Film Festival for Excellence in Acting.

Douglas is known for his roles as Chief Galen Tyrol in 'Battlestar Galatica' (2004-2009), Gorfon Rimmer in 'Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency' (2016), Jim Krepke in 'Unspeakable' (2019) and Frank Leo in 'The Bridge' (2010). His most recent works include 'Mystery 101' (2019), 'Killbird' (2019), '2019Aurora Teagarden Mysteries' (2019), 'Thunderbird' (2019) and 'Van Helsing' (2019). In 2013, Douglas was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Performance in a Guest Role, Dramatic Series for 'Flashpoint' (2008), in 2016 he was nomainted for a Leo Award for Best Performance by a Male in a Short Drama for 'The Orchard' (2015) and in 2015 he was nominated for a NAVGTR Award for Supporting Performance in a Drama for 'Watch Dogs' (2014).

Xavier de Guzman as John Michael

Guzman is known for his roles as the Knight in 'The 100' (2020), Berto Vasquex in 'Take Two' (2018), a security agent in 'Designated Survivor' (2017) and Wes in 'Get Shorty' (2019). His most recent roles include 'Our hose' (2018), 'Baroness Von Sketch Show' (2018), and 'Get Shorty' (2019). Guzman also has producer and writer credits for the TV Mini series 'How To Gety Away with Recess' (2019).

The rest of the cast includes Trezzo Mahoro as Joker, Aliza Vellani as Sally, Rohan Campbell as Travis, and Jeff Joseph as General Hatcher

The synopsis reads: "At the behest of her boss, congressional aide Erica Miller is forced to miss Christmas with her family. Assigned to a beachside air force base to find reasons to close the facility, Erica comes to blows with Captain Andrew Jantz, who disagrees with her assignment."
