‘Trickster’: ONEUS become million sellers, K-pop fans proud of 'organic growth'

ONEUS broke 'Blood Moon's first week sales on the first day itself with 'Trickster' making 187k sales in 24 hours

K-pop boy group ONEUS is finally getting the recognition they deserve from breaking their own personal sales records to charting high on domestic as well as international charts. Their turning point happened to be their sixth mini-album ‘Blood Moon’ in November 2021 as it crossed 172k sales, got them their first music show win while the music video trended on YouTube as it crossed 25 million views. Well, they came back with their seventh EP ‘Trickster’ which has broken new records.

Following their explosive US tour in February, ONEUS released ‘Trickster’ in May with the lead single ‘Bring It On’. The album was in the top 5 of Japan’s Oricon chart and was #2 on Gaon Album Chart. The album was also at #4 on Worldwide iTunes for two days after its release while the lead single was #6 on European iTunes. ONEUS also broke its first-day and first-week record by crossing 187k sales 24 hours after ‘Trickster’s release. The album has now crossed 228k sales for its first week. So, it was no surprise that ONEUS became a million sellers on June 9.

ONEUS become million sellers

Gaon has revealed that ONEUS has crossed a total of million sales for all of their albums sold in South Korea and Japan since their debut. ‘Trickster’ continues to be their good luck charm as it was also the second best-selling album in South Korea even after two weeks of its release. ONEUS also became the first fourth-gen boy group to occupy the top 5 of Bugs Daily Chart. Even the music video of ‘Bring It On’ did well as it became ONEUS’ most-viewed music video in the first week with over 22 million YouTube views. Gaon Chart has also announced that ‘Trickster’ is the eighth best-selling album in May 2022.

Fans are overjoyed as they trended ‘ONEUS million seller’ with tweets like, “Wow waking up to #ONEUS million seller really sounds so sexc 😭😭 so proud of this organic growth.” Another added, “Happy to see this ONEUS MILLION SELLER!!!!! No nugusss anymore dude.” One fan posted, “They deserve it sm omg, i remember when they sold 1000 copies for one album and now they’re million seller. can’t wait the day when they’ll sell 1 million for one album, and i’ll be here, love you #ONEUS !!” Another shared, “So proud of #ONEUS and tomoon🥺 Trickster era will always have a special spot for me.”
