LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The war between humans and monsters will take center stage once more as Netflix prepares to release the third and final season of 'Sweet Home' on Friday, July 19, 2024.

Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan, the show is set in an apocalyptic world where a peculiar epidemic is changing mankind into monsters, which turn out to be manifestations of their inner desires.

While the two seasons accurately depicted the battle between two breeds, the circumstances took a drastic turn with the emergence of neo-humans.

However, a ray of hope shines as a hypothesis suggests that the pandemic can be controlled.

Who could end the monster curse in 'Sweet Home' Season 3?

Although there is no confirmation, it is probable that the end of the monster curse will be revealed in 'Sweet Home' Season 3 as a result of Seo Yi-kyung's (Lee Si-young) mutant daughter (Kim Si-ah), who was introduced in Season 2.

The series established that Yi-kyung's child, who was born amid a terrible scenario in the first season, is not a normal person, but in fact, is a neo-human with exceptional powers.

This mysterious girl, unlike any other neo-human seen before, possesses unique abilities, such as the ability to transform others into monsters through touch, control their minds, and read their thoughts, indicating that she could potentially combat the outbreak

Yi-kyung's daughter is unlike any other character in the show since she was born with the monster curse but managed to gradually restore herself to human form.

This implies a specific link to the pandemic, which the series argues is supernatural rather than a virus.

As standard scientific answers appear doubtful, Yi-kyung's daughter's unique abilities to alter and manipulate others may hold the key to reversing the curse and rescuing mankind.

The young girl may develop pandemic-fighting powers in the future as her mere touch could transform the monsters back into humans.

Overall, with the ability to change and control, she may hold the key to reversing monsterization, making her essential to the developing plot.
