'One-Punch Man' Season 3: Series animator Chikashi Kubota has some sobering news for fans of Saitama
TOKYO, JAPAN: Anime is no longer coinsidered as just "cartoons." It has become a force to be reckoned with in the mainstream entertainment industry. Several prominent shows such as 'Naruto', 'Attack on Titan', 'Pokemon' and 'Death Note' have garnered legions of fans across the globe. Joining the list is 'One-Punch Man'. However, according to recent reports, animator Chikashi Kubota has revealed some shocking news regarding the release of Season 3 of the hit Anime series.
Based on the Japanese Manga series of the same name by One, 'One-Punch Man' has become a fan-favourite since its release. So, two seasons of the show have been released. The series is created by Mike McFarland, One (Manga) and Tomohiro Suzuki. The show has been nominated for several awards including Best Protagonist for Saitama and Best Antagonist for Garou in 2020 by Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Season 3 of 'One-Punch Man' is currently being created.

A chance of delay
As fans have been waiting excitedly for Season 3, a recent report by a reliable Twitter account, @DBSChronicles, Tokyo Anime Award-winning animator Kubota revealed that there was currently no 'Dragon Ball' animation project being produced. However, he added that if there was one, it would delay all his other projects, including 'One-Punch Man' Season 3 as he would have to solely focus on the former. It is to be noted that he is the animator of both 'Dragon Ball Super: Broly' and 'One-Punch Man'.

What is 'One-Punch Man' about?
'One-Punch Man' has released a total of 24 episodes with 12 in each season. The official description of 'One-Punch Man' by Crunchyroll reads, "Saitama started out being a hero just for fun. After three years of 'special' training, he became so powerful that he can defeat opponents with a single punch. Now, alongside Genos, his faithful cyborg disciple, Saitama is ready to begin his official duties as a professional hero working with the Hero Association. However, the frequency of monster appearances is surging and it increasingly appears as if the Great Seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth’s doom is coming true. In the midst of this crisis, the 'hero hunter' Garou makes his own appearance." Season 1 came out in 2015 while Season 2 came out in 2019. Fans have been waiting for almost four years for Saitama, Genos and the rest of the crew to appear on TV.
