'On My Block' season 2 trailer sets the mood right after a sombre teaser

Many fans wanted Olivia dead instead of Ruby and, unfortunately, for those of us who like her, Netflix may have paid heed to that noise

Between the tragic cliff-hanger that befell Ruby (Jason Genao) in season 1 and the exceptionally tragic cold open that Netflix teased us with earlier this month, we were worried that the entire tone of ‘On the Block’ is going to change. After all, a death — or even a near-death experience — can change the dynamic within any closely-knit friend group.

However, the trailer for season 2 of ‘On My Block’ that was released on Tuesday, March 12 shows the story in a completely different light than the teaser which was solemn and somber. As we learnt from the teaser, Ruby is alive and well, and considering the promotional photos shared by Netflix, she may have become a legend after surviving the gunshot wound.
