LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: For most entrepreneurs who set foot in 'Shark Tank', bagging a deal from a Shark is the ultimate goal. So, when Nopalera founder Sandra Velasquez, managed to get offers from not one but two Sharks, but in the end decided to turn down both their offers and left the tank with no deal, while also managing to irk Daymond John, it made for a very riveting watch.

Sandra stepped into the tank seeking an investment of $300K for a 5% stake in her skincare brand which had a valuation of $6M. After wowing the Sharks with her unique backstory of tapping into her Mexican heritage to develop eco-friendly yet effective skincare, Sandra was ready to talk numbers and get down to business with the Sharks. While Sandra impressed the Sharks with her impressive profit and sales margins, as well as marketing strategies, unfortunately, her decision to not budge from her initial offer ended up costing her a deal from not one but two Sharks- Kevin O'Leary and guest Shark Daniel Lubetzky. After listening to Sandra's backstory about wanting to be financially independent, Daniel initially decided to sit out from making the deal as he felt that the offer he was about to make to her would negate her purpose. But Kevin wasn't ready to let a lucrative business opportunity to slip away from him, so he immediately decided to make his infamous "Sharky" offer by demanding 30% equity instead. Watching Sandra consider Kevin's offer prompted Daniel to jump back in and make an offer of his own. The guest Shark agreed to invest the $300K but in exchange, he wanted a 25% equity in the brand.

Although Sandra was in a position to pick between the two Sharks, the entrepreneur decided to make a counteroffer to both of them. She requested for an investment of $600K for 10% equity instead. Daymond couldn't help but point out how Sandra was just making her initial offer again and wasn't willing to negotiate or budge. While Daymond kept criticizing her for not being even a bit flexible with her pitch, Kevin and Daniel decided to withdraw their offers, leaving Sandra with no deal.

While Sandra left the tank with no deal, the Nopalera founder was proud of her decision as she felt that it was a matter of her "self-worth" and she didn't want to undersell herself or her business just to get a Shark onboard. Even though Nopalera left with no deal, the pitch managed to make a strong impression amongst 'Shark Tank' fans. Several fans took to Twitter to laud Sandra for prioritizing her self-worth over a 'Shark Tank' deal and wished her all the luck and success.

A fan tweeted, "Good for her for sticking for her own worth!" "So proud of you. Absolutely know your worth. Wishing you so much success," wrote a fan. "Nopalera, I'm sure she will be fine #SharkTank," declared another fan.
