Netflix's new rom-com 'Desperados' premiered on July 3 and fans have only been raving about one thing — the unofficial mini 'New Girl' reunion. The film is about a 30-year-old woman named Wesley, who is repeatedly being kicked in the butt by life. Her existence has thus far only been characterized by botched interviews and a failed love-life. That is until she meets Jared, the "perfect" guy after a blind date goes sour.

While she's over the moon about her new relationship, Jared has a wrong understanding of Wesley and her personality. Fast forward by a month, and Wesley is content with where she stands with her new boyfriend. That is, until she doesn't hear from him for five days. After consuming copious amounts of wine, she makes the typical "under-the-influence" mistake, and fires off a vilifying email addressed to Jared complete with curses, some not-so-nice comments about his bedroom skills and every insult she can think of.

Only seconds after she's sent the email does she get a phone call from Jared, clarifying that he wasn't "ghosting" her but he'd been in a coma after meeting with an accident while in Cabo, Mexico. On a whim, she decides to fly all the way over to Cabo, and delete the email from all his devices before he has a chance to see it. As expected, a crazy adventure comes with some crazy consequences and chaos ensues in the form of hilarious, laugh-worthy moments.

The film stars 'Saturday Night Live' alum Nasim Pedrad in the lead role as Wesley, with 'Pitch Perfect' star Anna Camp as Brooke and comedienne Sarah Burns as Kaylie. Robbie Amell of 'The Flash' fame portrays Jared while Lamorne Morris from 'New Girl' is Sean, Wesley's blind date from the night she met Jared. It also features 'Twin Peaks' actress Heather Graham.

'Desperados' was received well by Netflix-ers and netizens worldwide, who planted themselves on their couches to enjoy the 105 minutes of frolic and laughter. "Watched #Desperados on Netflix and I loved it! Again as an adult struggling with life, I relate to it SO much!!" said a fan, attesting to the fact that Wesley's character was pretty relatable. "This new movie 'Desperados'. Wesley is me. I am her. Would 100% send a crazy email then try to delete it," another added. "Highly recommend watching the Netflix original #Desperados. It really hit home when the girl said, 'I too can grow a mustache'", said a fan, urging fellow movie buffs to give the film a go.

"Literally obsessed with #Desperados. It’s cliche and predictable to a fault, but that’s part of its charm," another fan positively critiqued over a tweet, adding that "It's purposefully conventional and it plays every note to its advantage. Perfectly comedically-timed actresses having a blast, great soundtrack and a feel good message." One fan tweeted, "I just finished watching Desperados. I love this movie so much, I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. I'm literally gonna shove this in everyone's face tomorrow to watch this." This fan described the film in one sentence: "#Desperados is really super desperate. Ha!"

Fans of the Fox sitcom, 'New Girl', that saw Pedrad and Morris as a couple, were stoked to see the two on-screen again. Pedrad's Aly Nelson and Morris' Winston Bishop were the beloved couple from the television series, that had won the hearts of their viewers over the course of the show. Evidently their mini-reunion is what caught all the buzz for the film, as fans watched with bated breath, hoping Wesley and Sean would, just by some twist of fate, end up together.

"#Desperados is really super desperate. Ha!", one fan said in a tweet, as other concurred, "Aly and Winston are still my favorite but, Wesley and Sean are a close second! @LamorneMorris #Desperados."

"WAIT HOLD UP DESPERADOS IS WITH LAMORNE AND NASIM OMG SHUT THE F**K UP", one fan exclaimed in excitement. "no one talk to me Winston and Aly are one of my all-time favorite sitcom couples and I just got Wes and Sean shut uppppppp," added another. "Aly and Winston when they're not cops," a third fan commented, while another said "Aly and Winston au we love to see it."

'Desperados' is now streaming on Netflix.
