When will 'New Amsterdam' Season 4 Episode 16 air? Here's what to expect when it returns

For starters, it will be the State of the Union address that means there is no episode next week

It's tough if you are 'New Amsterdam' fan right now. As if waiting for almost a month to watch the 15th episode of Season 4 was painful, there's bad news in the form of another delay. Although the promo of Episode 16 packs quite a wallop, there's going to be a long wait with a mini-series that will take over the timeslot until mid-April. For starters, it will be the State of the Union address that means there is no episode next week.

Episode 15, directed by Ryan Eggold who gets behind the camera focuses on his return to New Amsterdam to set Veronica Fuentes straight, but then realizes he needs help and in the process applies to work a private clinic and gets most of the old gang back. Lauren (Janet Montgomery), Claude (Andre Brake), Agnes Kao (Christine Chang), Gladys (Megan Byrne), and Casey (Alejandro Hernandez) are all part of the new hospital now and only time will tell how they'll get the better of Fuentes.

When will 'New Amsterdam' Season 4 Episode 16 air on NBC?

The new date for the new episode will be April 19. With alternate programming in the meantime, the episode will be delayed for a good month and that didn't necessarily make the fans happy either. "The fact that we were supposed to get this promo ep next week instead of April 17th, but Biden is holding his State of the Union next week so it got pushed. #NewAmsterdam," one of the fans commented. "Like, I was going to comment on 5.0 and how it was tempering my rage at seeing that set again, because I'd hoped it was destroyed, but OMG the cruelty of showing that promo and having to wait 7 weeks. Or more. Who knows. #newamsterdam," another fan wrote.

"That promo got me excited, pissed off, annoyed, stressed and scared. #NewAmsterdam APRIL 19TH?!," another fan seconded. "wait hol up is there another break??? after that promo??? in this economy??? excuse me i must cope #NewAmsterdam," another fan tweeted.

Add to this is the Renee Zellweger limited series that's slated to premiere on March 8. 'The Thing About Pam' is a true-crime series spanning six episodes airing on NBC. The official synopsis reads, "The scripted series is a detailing of the 2011 murder of Betsy Faria, which resulted in her husband Russ' conviction. When his conviction was overturned, the crime set off a chain of events that would expose a diabolical scheme deeply involving Pam Hupp."

The news isn't all bad though as the promo of Episode 16 promises to be worth the wait. Here's a quick look:
