'New Amsterdam' Season 2 Episode 9: Fans frustrated with Bloom-Reynolds romance, while Max and Helen take on New York's most dangerous prison

Watching Reynolds be there for Bloom after her leg surgery in the previously aired Season 2 Episode 8 was heartwarming, and for him to remember one of her happiest memories and take food for her proved yet again why they would make the perfect couple.

Ever since 'New Amsterdam' premiered, we have been rooting for Reynolds (Jocko Sims) and Bloom (Janet Montgomery) to get together, and we have been patiently waiting for them to sort through their differences, work on their own problems and even date other people before realizing they were meant to be with each other.

However, one of them being on morphine and still not confessing their love for the other is where we draw the line.

Watching Reynolds be there for Bloom after her leg surgery in the previously aired Season 2 Episode 8 was heartwarming, and for him to remember one of her happiest memories and take food for her proved yet again why they would make the perfect couple.

However, the fact that both of them are completely delusional about their own feelings for each other is truly heartbreaking. However, we still haven't lost hope, and are rooting to see at least one tearful confession in the upcoming fall finale.

Season 2 Episode 9 of 'New Amsterdam', meanwhile, will also see another fan-favorite soon-to-be-couple, Helen (Freema Agyeman) and Max (Ryan Eggold), take on a Herculean task. After finding out that one of their patients, who also happens to be a prison inmate, has been admitted with an entirely preventable illness, the dynamic duo decides to roll up the sleeves of their coats and get to work. However, what they do not anticipate is the amount of danger that awaits them.

In the previous episode, we saw Max finally saying goodbye to Georgia (Lisa O'Hare), his wife who died on the day their daughter was born. He has been hiding behind walls which kept out anyone other than his daughter, himself and the memories of his wife. Thankfully, an informal session with Dr. Iggy (Tyler Labine) seems to have helped him understand why it is important to say goodbye to Georgia. He then went on to inspire a patient to do so as well.

We hope to see Helen and Max getting closer to each other in the face of danger in the upcoming Season 2 Episode 9, which will air on Tuesday, November 19, on NBC.
