Netflix 'Ozark' Season 4 Part 2: 5 things you didn't know about Julia Garner
Since 2017, ‘Ozark’ has been one of those shows that have managed to treat viewers with some of the most compelling stories in recent years. But like every good thing must come to an end, it’s time for the Byrde Family to go for one last adventure. The Netflix series is set to premiere Part 2 of the fourth and final season on April 29, 2022, and fans cannot wait to see how it ends for the Byrdes.
Part 1 of the highly popular show aired in January 2022 and received universal acclaim. The first part ended with Ruth (Julia Garner) getting absolutely crazy after the killing of her brother and his partner. She went to the Byrde Family and asked who killed them? A few moments later, she found that it was Javier (Alfonso Herrera) who killed them and warned her that if she went there, they will kill her. Ruth said that if they want to stop her, they would have to kill her.

Julia Garner as Ruth Langmore
Garner has become a force to be reckoned with in recent years and her body of work speaks volumes. She began her acting career at the age of 15 and started taking acting classes to overcome her shyness. She made her feature film debut at the age of 17 with ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’. In the initial part of her career, she played supporting roles or cameos in movies such as ‘Electrick Children’, ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’, ‘We Are What We Are’, and ‘The Last Exorcism Part II’.
In 2015, she made her television debut with ‘The Americans’ and received a lot of praise. However, it was ‘Ozark’ that made her a superstar. The actress won 2 Primetime Emmys for the show and has been nominated for Golden Globes and SAG Awards.
As far as movies are concerned, she was last seen in the 2019 movie ‘The Assistant’ and was nominated for the Best Actress accolade at the Independent Spirit Awards.
Jason Bateman as Martin Byrde
The prominent actor-turned-director entered the industry in the 1980s with ‘Little House on the Prairie’ and went on to gain international recognition in the motion picture sequel ‘Teen Wolf Too’. He became a teen idol in the mid-80s for his television work and became the Directors Guild of America’s youngest-ever director when he helmed three episodes of ‘The Hogan Family’. Bateman achieved wider recognition when he became a part of the series ‘Arrested Development’, for which he won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy).
After achieving success in movies and television, Bateman struck gold with the Netflix series ‘Ozark’. He was nominated for several accolades for the show, including 8 Primetime Emmys, 3 Golden Globes, and more.
‘Horrible Bosses’, ‘The Gift’, ‘Zootopia’, ‘Central Intelligence’, ‘Game Night’, ‘The Outsider’, and ‘Sit Down, Shut Up’ are some of the projects he has been a part of.
Laura Linney as Wendy Byrde
Linney first came onto the movie scene with a few minor roles here and there during the 1990s but went on to steadily climb the acting ladder. Apart from being a successful movie star, she is also known for her roles on Broadway and has been nominated 5 Tony Awards. She has been the recipient of three Academy Award nominations for her performances in Kenneth Lonergan's ‘You Can Count on Me’ (2000), Bill Condon's ‘Kinsey’ (2004), and Tamara Jenkins' ‘Savages’ (2007).
Linney is the recipient of four Primetime Emmy awards for ‘Wild Iris’, ‘Frasier’, ‘John Adams’, and ‘The Big C: Hereafter’. Her role as the matriarch Wendy Byrde in the hit series 'Ozark' won her nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award for her performances in both seasons one and two and for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for season two.
Sofia Hublitz as Charlotte Byrde
Born on July 1, 1999, Hublitz appeared as a contestant on ‘Masterchef Junior’ in 2013. In 2014, she landed her first acting role as Danielle Hoffman in the series ‘Louie’. 2016 saw her playing the role of Sylvia in the 2016 series ‘Horace and Pete’. She made her feature film debut in 2020 with ‘What Breaks the Ice’.
Hublitz gained a lot of recognition with ‘Ozark’ and received 2 SAG Awards.
Skylar Gaertner as Jonah Byrde
Gaertner began his acting career as a child actor and made his debut in 2008 with TV shows such as ‘Lipstick Jungle’ and ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’. He received wider recognition with the 2011 TV movie ‘Locke & Key’ along with Miranda Otto, Sarah Bolger, and Nick Stahl.
‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, ‘Person of Interest’, ‘The Americans’, ‘Daredevil’, and ‘The Ticket’ are some of the ventures he has been a part of.
Alfonso Herrera as Javier
The Mexican actor started his acting career in the early 2000s and made his debut with TV series ‘Clase 406’ in 2002. He was a part of the Netflix original series 'Sense8' (2015–18), where he starred as Hernando Fuentes the boyfriend of Lito Rodriguez. In 2016, he played the role of Father Tomas Ortega in the series ‘The Exorcist’, for which he was nominated for 2 Imagen Foundation Awards.
Apart from being an actor, he was also a singer and was part of the group RBD. The group was really successful and was nominated twice for the Latin Grammy Award and sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.
