Earlier this month, Netflix film 'Extraction' starring Chris Hemsworth broke the most-watched premiere record. Following its success, the streaming portal didn't waste any time and went ahead to double down on high-octane action and they've signed up Jessica Alba as the star and executive producer of the upcoming thriller 'Trigger Warning'. Plot
"Alba plays a traumatized veteran who inherits her grandfather's bar and is faced with a moral dilemma after discovering the truth behind his untimely death," according to a Variety report. Following the success of movies including 'Spenser Confidential' and 'Extraction', this film is a possible franchise-starter with high hopes of success attached to it.

This is not the first time that Alba will be seen in a pivotal role in an action flick. Her reportoire is filled with a plethora of action roles in big banner films including 'Into the Blue', 'Machete', 'Fantastic Four', 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer', 'Sin City', 'Spy Kids' and 'Killers Anonymous' among others.
Alba is currently the star and executive producer of Spectrum Originals' 'LA's Finest' alongside Gabrielle Union. The series is an action-packed spinoff from Jerry Bruckheimer’s 'Bad Boys' universe and will return for its second season this June. Alba recently announced that she will be hosting and executive producing Disney Plus' documentary series with the working title 'Parenting Without Borders'. She’s also the entrepreneur behind the billion-dollar Honest Company and Honest Beauty.
Creators
Helming the directorial role for 'Trigger Warning' is Indonesian filmmaker Surya. She has been on the rise in the directing circuit after her movie 'Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts' premiered as an official Directors' Fortnight selection at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. It received critical acclaim and was selected as Indonesia's entry for the best foreign-language film at the 91st Academy Awards. Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee of 'Thunder Road' and Liam Neeson starter 'Ordinary Love' are producing the film. Josh Olson and John Brancato will be in charge of scripting the film.
