Right at the end of the most recent episode of 'NCIS: New Orleans', the end credits tailed off with a special tribute to one Marta Goldstein. For most people curiosity was piqued because it is hardly that those behind the camera or the detailed exchanges on-screen come out of the shadows, but for other fans, the tribute was really something as they didn't even know her genius "had passed". So who is Marta Goldstein really?

Titled 'One of Our Own', Season 7's Episode 3 sees "Pride and the team take on a group of dirty cops when they discover that a murder victim was also a key witness in multiple excessive force cases; Tammy faces the reality of being in a new relationship." All of that drama and action builds up to quite high intensity and sure makes for a spicy episode as we learn about Tammy's new girlfriend, and also watch Hanna save a late ISIS executed informant's wife and kids from Moroccan refugee camps.

It's a wholesome episode with Pride conducting a music concert to bring together people in times of loss and hopelessness, and perhaps that's why NCIS: New Orleans chose to pay tribute to the late longtime scrip supervisor of the show, Goldstein. Right after the tribute was aired, fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts and prayers about the imminent talent's passing. Soon as Goldstein's photo appeared, a fan asked on Twitter: "Who's pic was that at the end of #NCISNOLA?" To that, another replied saying "Marta Goldstein script supervisor," and offered their "hugs" to those suffering the loss. "I didn't know Marta Goldstein had passed away," tweeted another one, adding: "She did some really great work on a lot of shows. #NCISNOLA."

Not many might know but Goldstein had also worked on some really, really popular shows of our times such as 'Ugly Betty', 'Scrubs', 'The Practice', 'The Goodwin Games', 'Reverie' and more. Goldstein had been onboard with the CBS procedural since the year 2014. Although the exact date of her death hasn't been revealed yet, fans are just taking notice of the loss after the procedural mentioned her in their end credits. A visible fan also took time to visit Goldstein's obituary and shared a thoughtful message noting "I'm so sorry. I just saw your name at the end of NCIS New Orleans. Rest in peace." It only makes sense, considering coming up with a million different angles and engaging scripts for a long term procedural is no easy feat.

'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 7 airs on Sundays at 9 pm only on CBS.
