Season 8 of the show premiered on May 1, at 8 pm ET/PT exclusively on Discovery.
What is 'Naked and Afraid XL' all about?
The show depicts a group of new survivalists encountering unfathomably dangerous situations whilst putting their survival skills to test. The one thing the group has in common is their foe - the Peruvian Amazon. There's nothing that can go expected or right when it comes to a vicious forest like this. Let's say poisonous plants, anacondas, and bullet ants...What's more to come?
The original synopsis reads: "This season, four Naked and Afraid XL veterans attempt an epic 60-day challenge while leading a new generation of survivalists embarking on their first 40 days. The Amazon rainforest of Peru is a brutal survival location which makes it the perfect challenge for Naked and Afraid XL: Next Level. This season gathers the most skilled and experienced survivalists and pits them against 15-foot anacondas, pounding rainstorms, relentless mosquitos, and even poisonous plants."
