'Mysteries Decoded': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and everything else about The CW's investigative docuseries

The CW’s ‘Mysteries Decoded’ is an investigative docuseries that delves deep into some of the country’s most unsolvable mysteries while exploring new evidence with the help of high-tech equipment. The series will see the investigators deep-diving into the various enigmatic incidents from history including the Salem witch trials and Area 51.  

Each episode features an investigation, which is coordinated by Jennifer Marshall, an accomplished U.S. Navy veteran who became a reputed private investigator. She interacts with experts and leads her team in the Herculean task of bringing closure to these historical mysteries that have puzzles most of the humankind for many years.

The series will premiere on The CW on Tuesday, August 13 at 9/8c.

Plot: 

The hour-long investigative docuseries, executive produced by Gary Tarpinian and Paninee Theeranuntawat is dedicated to finding the long-lost answers to mysteries that have been puzzling humans for long periods of time. ‘Mysteries Decoded’ will leave no stone unturned to answer questions that have been asked many times over, but not received an acceptable and logical answer.  

‘Mysteries Decoded’ is among a handful of new shows that the CW greenlit for the summer, and is expected to reel people in with the promise of solving seemingly unsolvable mysteries, and exposing potential cover-ups as US Navy veteran Marshall and her team embarks on quests to explore the biggest mysteries of the country.  

Cast:

While each episode will feature a different expert, the one person to coordinate all the adventures on the show is Marshall, who was stationed on San Nicolas Island, the most remote of the California Channel Islands, during her time of service, before being moved to USS Roosevelt, a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier homeported in Norfolk, Virginia. She also had a small but memorable part in 'Stranger Things'.

She will also be joined by Stephen Bingham of 'Paranormal Lockdown' fame and Ryan Sprauge, who was also the host of the documentary 'Rosswell Mysteries Decoded' and the 2017 docuseries 'Mysteries at the Museum.'

Creator:

Jerry McNutt, who is a renowned showrunner, director and writer, is the brains behind The CW's 'Mysteries Decoded' as well. McNutt is best known for shows docuseries that pertain to Science/Engineering, build/renovation and adventure. His shows usually appear on networks such as AMC, Discovery, and Nat Geo.
