The cast looks vibrant and fun with Mya Harrison and Rainbow Sun Francks in lead roles

Lifetime is turning it up a notch with new Christmas movies to welcome the holiday season. Known for producing some of the best festive movies, it is estimated that Lifetime will release a solid 30 new Christmas movies this year alone, per their programming for the holidays that began in October. 

The Christmas special follows the story of singer-songwriter Abby (played by Mya) who finds herself writing uninspired jingles for commercials. Just when it's time for her to head back home for the holidays, she gets enlisted by the local high school teacher to help save the school's art program.

Let's take a look at who plays who in the Lifetime Christmas movie.

Mya as Abby 

Mya Marie Harrison is an American pop singer, entertainer, philanthropist and actress. She is musically gifted and often puts out records when she isn't caught up in an acting project. At the age of 16, she recorded her very first solo album, which was eventually released on Interscope Records in April 1998. Her album sold about 1 million copies in the US. Mya also recorded a new version of 'Lady Marmalade' with Pink, Christina Aguilera, and Lil' Kim for Moulin Rouge!, the soundtrack, back in the year 2001. One of her notable appearances was in the video 'Ghetto Superstar' from the movie 'Bulworth' by Warren Beatty, in 1998.

Rainbow Sun Francks

Rainbow Sun Francks is a Canadian actor and producer. He is best known for his work on 'Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem', as Lt Aiden Ford in the TV show called 'Stargate: Atlantis', and his recurring roles as Dev Clark on 'The Listener'. He also appears on 'The Umbrella Academy', and 'High Fidelity.' Francks was known as the famous on-air personality at MuchMusic, a popular Canadian music television channel, before his LA career.

In Season 1 of 'Stargate: Atlantis', he starred as the US marine, Lieutenant Aiden Ford, a role which was eventually reduced to that of a recurring character for Season 2 of the show, and then written out entirely for the next two seasons. Francks produces a hip-hop group, called 'The Oddities'. He also indulges immensely in the video game website called 'Console Creatures'.
