Funnyman Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias added another feather to his bonnet of talents in 2019, when his Netflix sitcom 'Mr Iglesias' dropped. Playing the eponymous school teacher, the comedian made such a mark on the streaming platform and its audience that within six weeks of its release, Netflix greenlit a second season that is about to drop any time now. Iglesias is reprising his titular role to send us into the signature laughing frenzies his audience goes into, but along with him, the returning cast is no less. Armed with a slew of funny characters played by equally talented cast members, here's who Season 2 is expected to bring back.

Of course, there won't be a show without Iglesias reprising his character of the beloved history teacher. The 42-year-old comedian's Netflix stand-up special 'One Show Fits All' was a precursor to his success after several guest appearances in television sitcoms. His most memorable act is from ABC's 'Modern Family' where Sophia Vergara's character Gloria Pritchett uses him to trick her son Manny Delgado (Rico Rodriguez) into thinking Iglesias' character is his original father purely because of the similarity between their appearances.

Oscar Nuñez as Assistant Principal Carlos

Who can forget the extremely articulate and perfectionist Oscar from the cult-classic NBC sitcom, 'The Office'. Just as uppity as his Scranton-residing avatar on US adaptation of the original British comedy, Nuñez's Carlos is driven to get his high school to distinctive ranks, even if it costs disposing some students. The actor has previously appeared in the new remake of 'Baywatch', Showtime's 'Shameless', and USA Network’s 'Benched'. He was also in the 2009 rom-com 'The Proposal'.

Maggie Geha as Abigail Spencer

Geha's character Abigail Spencer is Mr Iglesias's colleague and fellow teacher at the high school he teaches in. She was in all 10 episodes of the widely successful first season, so it only makes sense that she would reprise to give us more dosages of all that sassy love she pours into and channels as Abigail. Geha is most popularly known for playing Ivy Pepper in Fox series 'Gotham', along with roles in movies like 'Ted 2', 'The Harrow' and 'In Stereo'.

Coy Stewart as Lorenzo

Stewart, known for his roles in the CBS procedural 'NCIS', NBC's 'The Blacklist' and Marvel's 'Agents of SHIELD', stars as Mr. Iglesias' student Lorenzo. Stewart is also known for his work in the film 'Are We There Yet?'

Christopher McDonald as Coach Dixon

The 'Thelma and Louise' and 'Happy Gilmore' actor plays the role of Wilson High's coach.

Cree Cicchino as Marisol

Gaining fame for her recurring role in the TV series 'Game Shakers', the former Nickelodeon star plays another student of Mr Iglesias called Marisol.

Tucker Albrizzi as Walt

Known for starring in some of the most popular television series, Albrizzi's credits include 'The Big Bang Theory', the Netflix mockumentary series 'American Vandal' and the YouTube original 'Foursome'. Albrizzi plays another of Mr Iglesias' students.

Gloria Aung as Grace

As the highly intelligent, overachieving student of Mr Iglesias, Aung is priceless. She is also known for her work in kids' TV show 'Henry Danger'.

Sherri Shepherd as Principal Paula Madison

SAG Award-nominee, Shepherd, plays the role of Paula, who much like Carlos, wants to keep the outcasts outside Wilson High to climb the ladder of impressive standards. Shepherd's credits include the Golden Globe-winning '30 Rock' to the sitcom 'Less Than Perfect'.

'Mr. Iglesias' Season 2 premieres this June 17 on Netflix.
