Moonbyul the next Mamamoo member to return solo, drops teaser for '6ix'

While Moomoos (Mamamoo’s fandom) are waiting for Mamamoo’s next comeback, the members are making sure that there’s no drought in Moomooland. We have been getting individual content from all four members with Moonbyul’s radio show, Wheein dropping a collaborative track with Ailee, Solar judging the jTBC music competition ‘Pungryu Captain’ and Hwasa’s comeback. We had the maknae (youngest) of the group, Hwasa dropping her first single album ‘Guilty Pleasure’.

The album and its title track ‘I’m a B’ did quite well as it topped domestic, as well as international charts like Billboard. Hwasa became the first K-pop female idol to have two songs debut at the same time on Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart in 2021 with even the b-side ‘Bless U’ charting in the top 10. Even the music video of ‘I’m a B’ was a success as it became the most-viewed K-pop music video in the first 24 hours with over 1.7 million views. And now, Mamamoo fans are getting ready for Moonbyul’s solo comeback with ‘6ix’.

Moonbyul's ‘6ix’ teaser

Moonbyul, the rapper of the group made her solo debut in 2018 with the single ‘Selfish’ featuring Red Velvet’s Seulgi. She dropped her first mini-album ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ in 2020. The album came #2 on Gaon Chart. The title track ‘Eclipse’ was #14 on Billboard World Digital Song Chart while her second title track ‘Absence’ was at #12. Fans were eagerly waiting for the Mamamoo star's next solo comeback and well, she has heard Moomoo’s wishes. Last month, Moonbyul shared that she was working on her next solo album. And now we might have a teaser for it.

On December 3, Moonbyul released a short video teaser for ‘6ix’. Surrounded by moody instrumentals in the back, she desolately walks in an abandoned building with a cart. Some wonder if it is a birthday gift for fans since her birthday is on December 22 or a proper comeback.
