After their pre-release track ‘Ghost Town’ dropped on February 11 and topped several charts immediately, members Moonbin and Sanha of Astro have teased their upcoming album ‘Refuge’ with sensual yet confident images. The duo became the first subunit to come from Astro as they made their debut in September 2020 with the five-track mini-album ‘In-Out’. It not only topped the Korean domestic chart by peaking at Number 2 but also Japanese charts, peaking at Number 9.

With a successful solo debut from Astro’s second sub-unit Jinjin & Rocky in December 2021 and member MJ’s solo trot project, Arohas have a lot to look forward to, alongside Eunwoo’s upcoming acting projects and the release of his OST single ‘Focus on Me’ from the Kakao Webtoon ‘The Villainess is a Marionette’. Moonbin & Sanha’s upcoming comeback album is the latest addition to the list.

Release Date

Moonbin and Sanha will release their second mini-album ‘Refuge’ on March 15 at 6 pm KST (4 am ET).

How to Listen

The mini-album ‘Refuge’ from Astro’s subunit Moonbin & Sanha will be released on all major music streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, MelOn and more.

Tracklist

1. ‘Who’ [Title Track]
2. ‘Boo’
3. ‘Dia’
4. ‘Distance’
5. ‘Ghost Town’

The tracklist revealed that the comeback album will follow the pattern of their debut album and contain five songs, including the pre-released single ‘Ghost Town’. The album is said to have been penned, composed, and arranged by famous K-pop producer PCDC, who also produced their pre-release single.

PCDC is a producing group with six producers, artists, topliners, and trackers. They have worked with Joo Young, Ahil Lee, Mopin, BOTTLE GOD, Ikbxci, and Jineon Kwak in the past. Keeping in tune with the spooky feel of this Moonbin & Sanha comeback, the tracklist appears with the image of an old paper with the names of all tracks, barring the title track ‘Who’, written in black ink. The title track has its name written in red, creating a mysterious feeling.

Concept

Making a lot of bold choices for their comeback, Moonbin & Sanha dropped the first set of concept photos for the mini-album. The concept goes back in time, with Moonbin and Sanha in front of a black background wearing outfits and hairdos inspired from the Joseon era.

The photos saw the duo dressed in jackets with gold embroidery that makes their luxurious visuals stand out even more. The second concept photo revealed an understated sexiness that is characteristic of Moonbin and Sanha and similar to what was seen in their previous subunit album.

Astro fanmeet ahead of Moonbin & Sanha comeback

Astro has also announced a fanmeet titled ‘2022 ASTRO AROHA Festival - Gate 6’ where the members will meet fans to celebrate their sixth debut anniversary. The fanmeet will take place on March 13 at 1 pm KST (11 pm ET) and 7 pm KST (5 am ET) at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea. The event will mark the Fantagio Entertainment group’s first time meeting fans in over two years.
