Hulu and horror go quite well hand in hand. So it makes sense that the streamer would pick up Nathan Ballingrud’s short story collection 'North American Lake Monsters' to gift its audience a brand new anthology horror titled 'Monsterland'. Arriving right in time for what the platform calls 'Huluween', here's all you need to know about the upcoming series.

'Monsterland' premiers this fall on October 2 only on Hulu.
Plot
According to its official Hulu release, "Monsterland is an 8-episode anthology series based on the collection of stories from Nathan Ballingrud’s 'North American Lake Monsters'. Encounters with mermaids, fallen angels, and other strange beasts drive broken people to desperate acts in an attempt to repair their lives, ultimately showing there is a thin line between man and monster."

The series stars Kaitlyn Dever, Jonathan Tucker, Charlie Tahan, Nicole Beharie, Hamish Linklater, Marquis Rodriguez, Bill Camp, Michael Hsu Rosen, Taylor Schilling, Roberta Colindrez, Adria Arjona, Trieu Tran, Kelly Marie Tran, Mike Colter and Adepero Oduye.
Creator
'Monsterland' is created, written and executive produced by Mary Laws, who is known for the Nicholas winding Refn neo-noir thriller 'Neon Demon' (2016). Her other writing credits include 'Succession' (2019) and 'Preacher' (2016-2018). The series is executive produced by Babak Anvari, Lucan Toh, Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle. Ali Krug will serve as co-executive producer and the series is produced by Annapurna Television.
