Contains spoilers for 'Money HeistL Korea - Joint Economic Area' Episode 2
The heist has begun and the team is ready to take it to the next level. In the first episode, we saw how the team was able to start printing the money and as they were moving ahead in their plan, they hit a roadblock when Rio (Lee Hyun-woo) gets hit by a bullet. Luckily, he was wearing a bulletproof vest and he survived the attack. The next part of the plan starts now and this is all about escaping the mint.
Along with printing the money, the team now needs to create a tunnel that would take them out of the bank. Berlin (Park Hae-soo) is trying his best to keep things right, however, the hostages are trying to be really annoying. One of the hostages, Cho Yeong-min (who is the Korean version of Arturo), is scheming how to get away and contact the police. They do try to injure one of the hostages and get a chance to escape the room so that they can get a chance to contact authorities. Cho does that but gets caught eventually.

So, Berlin decides to divide the hostages into two teams: North Koreans and South Koreans. He threatens them by saying that if any North Korean commits a mistake, then a South Korean will get the punishment and vice-versa. Tokyo (Jeon Jong-seo) is not happy with that because Professor said that no hostage should get hurt and dividing them will create differences among them. However, Berlin believes that this was important to do.
Elsewhere, Cho meets Yoon Mi-seon (Lee Joo-bin), his love interest, and tells her about the smartwatch he used to connect with her. He says that the smartwatch can be used to contact the police and asks her to get it from his office. He tells Denver (Kim Ji-hoon) that she’s pregnant and can’t work for long hours or else she’ll suffer a miscarriage. Denver takes Yoon to a lounge, where the daughter of the US Ambassador is also kept. They make a plan to distract Rio so that Yoon can get a hold of the watch. The daughter of the US Ambassador tells Rio that she needs to go to the washroom because she’s on her period. As they leave, Yoon gets a chance to get away and enter Cho’s office. After some struggle, she finally finds the watch and when Denver discovers her in the office, he takes her straight to the hall where other hostages are kept. While coming down, she finally meets Cho and gives him the smartwatch.
He gets in touch with the police, who tell them that he needs to open a link that’s been sent on the smartwatch and they’ll be able to get a picture of what’s happening. On the other hand, Professor (Yoo Ji-tae) calls Seon and realizes how relaxed she was on the call. So, he texts her and calls her to meet. He meets her like he used to, as Sunho, and starts listening to her call where she gets to know about the watch. As soon as the phone call ends, Seon asks Sunho why he was eavesdropping on her call? He makes up the excuse of being paranoid because he believes that Seon likes someone else.
As soon as Seon leaves, Professor calls Berlin and tells him about the watch. He gathers everyone in the hall and calls out Cho, director of the mint, to check everyone with a metal detecting machine. Cho gives the watch to Yoon and while checking, he doesn’t check her properly. Berlin sees that and makes him do the checking again, the machine beeps and it happens because of her necklace. However, as Berlin told him to move to the next, the watch just drops on the floor from Yoon’s jacket.
Berlin orders to execute her and shows why he is considered to be a person with no mercy. He tells Denver to kill her and a few moments later, we see Denver pulling the trigger, but we don’t see if Yoon is killed or not. Meanwhile, Professor is helpless because no one is picking up his call.
Will the Professor or Tokyo be able to stop Berlin? Or Berlin did that just to show everyone what he can do? Things are getting intense and it’s just getting started.
