'Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area' Trailer: New gang, new territory and a 'revolutionary crime'

A lot of things have been picked up straight from the original Spanish-language series ‘La Casa De Papel’, but it has its own uniqueness because of how it has been picturized.

So, a few moments later, we meet the team for the first time. Berlin (Park Hae-soo), Moscow (Lee Won-jong), Denver (Kim Ji-hoon), Nairobi (Jang Yoon-ju), Rio (Lee Hyun-woo), Helsinki (Kim Ji-hun), and Oslo (Lee Kyu-ho) have come together to accomplish the world’s biggest heist. The plan is simple: the team gets inside the mint wearing red jumpsuits and Hahoetal masks and takes away all the money. They take people as hostages but assure them that no one will get injured because they don’t want to hurt anyone.

However, the plan is not to take the money that’s inside the vault. That’s where it gets interesting.

Professor tells the team that they won’t touch the money inside the vault and will use the printing machines to print the amount of money they want. However, Professor is always two steps ahead and knows that as soon as the news goes out, they will establish a team of both nations to tackle the situation. The negotiator from the South Korean side is Seon Woo-jin (Kim Yun-jin) and she will be talking to the Professor if a deal can be negotiated. However, a team of trained military personnel is also on backup in case things go out of hand.

Professor is aware he would have to know who’s the negotiator and that’s where another twist blows everyone’s minds. After the authorities decide to barge the mint with military personnel, Seon is relieved from her duties and she goes to a restaurant for a dinner date with a man named Sunho. It turns out Sunho is none other than Professor and is trying to get to know her personally.

Meanwhile, the plan to wreak havoc inside the mint doesn’t materialize because all hostages are now wearing the same jumpsuits and it’s hard to differentiate who are the robbers and who are the hostages.

Just like the original version, as soon as the money is printed, they go out, fire in the air, and get inside the mint again. However, a bullet hits Rio and he falls to the ground. The team members continue to shoot, but Tokyo feels that they should head inside the mint and regroup. Luckily, Rio is fine and the Professor is ready to execute Step 2 of the plan.

Meanwhile, the authorities of North and South Korea are feeling helpless and thinking about how to deal with the situation.

Season 1 of 'Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area' is currently streaming on Netflix.
