The upcoming Korean series takes a lot of elements from the original series and narrates the story of a group attempting to pull off an unprecedented heist from Korea’s Joint Economic Area. For the uninitiated, the series sees the unification of South and North Korea. They established a Joint Economic Area where they stashed all the money. The unification was thought to be a good step for people because it will provide more employment opportunities. However, the corrupt officials from the government made it even harder for people to work and earn money. Only the rich got richer.

Yoo Ji-tae as Professor in 'Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economix Area' (Netflix)

The clip starts with Tokyo telling viewers how she met Professor for the first time and as soon as you see the sequence, you realize how similar the scene is to the original series. A few moments later we get to know that the Joint Economic Area was expected to make everyone’s lives better. However, only the rich got richer.

Professor’s plan is to steal 4 trillion South Korean WON from the Korean Mint and get out of their like wind. However, we know that it doesn’t end up being like that. The cast members get ready for the heist in red jumpsuits and iconic masks.
