LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The world of 'Creed' is further expanding. After the massive success of 'Creed' and 'Creed II', 'Creed III' is set to release in theaters in March. 'Creed IV'

Actor and director Michael B Jordan recently attended the Hollywood premiere at the Chinese Theatre for the upcoming 'Creed III'. While being interviewed on the red carpet, Jordan was asked about the possibility of another installment, to which he replied that he is really excited about the universe. It is to be noted that 'Creed III' marks Jordan's directorial debut.

"Building the Creed universe is something that I’m really excited about," he told Deadline.

'Creed universe'

'Creed' movies are a global phenomenon, besides being fan-favorites. The movies are a spin-off to the Sylvester Stallone-starrer cult classic 'Rocky'. So far, 'Rocky' has had a total of six movies while 'Creed' has three. In the 'Creed' series, we have seen the fall and rise of Adonis Creed in his professional career, including winning the WBC World Heavyweight Championship. The movies have also chronicled his personal growth, falling in love, getting engaged, and learning to become a more composed person.

The upcoming 'Creed III' will explore the life of the now-thriving Adonis, both professionally and personally as he is challenged to face a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian Anderson, in a face-off. But the face-off is more than just a fight. The trailer of 'Creed III' promises an intense film.

However, continuing the character after the third part would be a tricky affair as several major storylines on Creed's life have already been explored. But it would be interesting to follow his journey as he moves forward in his life and career. Or whether he trains his daughter Amara to be the next champion. Besides, the outcome of 'Creed III' should also be taken into account, to note whether the movie offers a lead to a possible fourth installment.

'Creed III' is set to release exclusively in theatres on March 3, 2023.
