LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: We don't know about murder but we surely know there is a star-studded floor in the Hulu building. Confused? 'Only Murders in the Building' has a brand new cast for its third season. The comedy-drama series follows Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), neighbors at an Upper West Side building called the Arconia, who bond over a love of true crime podcasts and end up starting their own as mysterious murders happen around them.

In Season 1, they uncovered the killing of their fellow resident Tim Kono (Julian Cihi). In Season 2 they did the same for the building’s board president Bunny Folger (Jayne Houdyshell) - while trying to clear their own names. 'Mean Girl' actor, Tina Fey also stars in the series. Furthermore, the Hulu series saw huge success and has received numerous accolades, including nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series also for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Martin and Short.

In a recent Twitter post, Steve Martin revealed that Oscar winner Meryl Streep, 73, has joined the cast of the hit Hulu series, 'Only Murders in the Building,' as filming for season 3 has officially begun.

"The filming of Season 3 of 'Only Murders in the Building' has begun! A cast to dream of," Martin, 77, wrote on Twitter beside a black and white photo of Streep and Martin smiling alongside Martin Short, Selena Gomez, and new costar Paul Rudd. The series' Twitter account commented on Martin's tweet, writing, "It is an HONOR to have Meryl in our building!



 

That is not all, 'The Heart Wants What It Wants' actor chose Instagram to announce the big news. "Hey guys, we’re on set. What are we shooting?" Gomez teased in the video while panning her phone to either side of her to show her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short then panning over to Andrea Martin, who joined the show in season two. After which Gomez turned her phone to reveal Paul Rudd who was seen sitting at another end of the couch from the three main stars. Meryl Streep then popped from behind the couch which left Gomez awestruck.



 

No details have been revealed about who Streep will play in the Hulu comedy about three true-crime enthusiasts who team up to investigate a suspicious murder in their New York apartment building. However, you can watch the previous seasons of 'Only Murders in the Building' on Hulu.
