SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Fans of BTOB had been waiting for the six-member group to get back together as one after all members had completed their military enlistments and that was the case as of January of 2022 when all members of the group had finally reunited. Back then, Melodys (fans of BTOB) were also ecstatic to learn that Sungjae (Yook Sung-jae) had landed an acting project month ahead of his official discharge. Back in November of 2021, it was announced that Sungjae will be making his comeback to acting with a webtoon-based K-drama, 'The Gold Spoon' (also known as The Golden Spoon) in 2022.

The MBC show 'The Gold Spoon' has finally hit the floors with BTOB Sungjae in the lead role alongside names like actor Lee Jong-won, and Ex-Momoland member, Yeonwoo as well as DIA's Jung Chae-yeon in the lead roles. Since the show is based on a webtoon of the same name, fans are looking forward to seeing Sungjae's main-lead first project after the 2020 hit short drama, 'Mystic Pop-Up Bar' which saw the BTOB singer take the lead role. In the past, Sungjae was seen playing support or guest roles in popular K-dramas like, 'The Heirs', 'Reply 1994', and 'Goblin' among others. Fans are looking forward to Sungjae star in his first large-scale K-drama under the label MBC which will be released this September.
