KINGSTOWN, MICHIGAN: 'Mayor of Kingstown' has captured the hearts of fans since its premiere, showcasing a diverse array of characters who have become central to its appeal.

As 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 unfolds, viewers are treated to a deeper exploration of the intricate web of power dynamics and diverse characters that define the landscape of Kingstown.

Rebecca (Nichole Galicia), Mike McLusky's (Jeremy Renner) secretary, has become a fan favorite character since the debut of 'Mayor of Kingstown', captivating audiences with her charm and beautiful smile.

As 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 progresses, fans have been intrigued by Rebecca's decision to remain in her job. Fans have taken to Reddit to share their opinions and theories about Rebecca's character development and her decision to continue her job.

Various fans have taken to Reddit to share their compelling theories behind Rebecca's decision to stay on as Mike's secretary in 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3.

On Reddit's discussion titled 'Why hasn't Rebecca quit?', fans have shared their theories and opinions. A fan wrote on Reddit, "Her interaction with Mike makes me feel she has a thing for Mike. Maybe she’s doing the “hopeless in love even though she knows jts hopeless” bit."

Another fan replied to this theory on Reddit, saying, "This has always been my thought too that she low key likes him even though she's never showed it but it's just there under the surface, because honestly I probably would have quit too a long time ago so there has to be more to it that we haven't seen yet. I would love to know more about her background and her thoughts on mike and everything else."

Another fan speculated that Rebecca might see her role as Mike's secretary as offering the most protection and stability in a town plagued by corruption and violence. The fan wrote on Reddit, "Can you imagine being Mike’s assistant the best option in that town?"

A 'Mayor of Kingstown' fan elaborated on potential motivations behind Rebecca's decision to continue her job. The fan shared their theories on Reddit, saying, "The town is shit so there aren't exactly a ton of opportunities. We don't know almost anything about her but there are plenty of good reasons that might exist: She could have family in the prison(s) and Mike helps out with that. We also don't know what she gets paid. Her mustang is pretty nice. She also has plenty of opportunity to make money on the side in this gig since she does a lot of stuff without Mike. She also gets to help people and is in a position of power. She can pull some decent favors herself and indirectly. She might have a criminal record that significantly limits her employment."

There is a possibility that Rebecca might have a criminal record that severely limits her employment prospects, making her job with Mike one of the few viable options available to her. This could explain why she always keeps a low profile and why viewers know so little about her.

Another fan wrote on Reddit, "Yeah I assume she's well compensate and she is basically her own boss. Mike almost never needs anything from her that she doesn't do independently on her own terms."

A die-hard 'Mayor of Kingstown' fan suggested on Reddit, "I actually like to think it was “ok” working for Mitch, and it now sucks working for Mike, maybe she feels indebted towards Mitch, maybe she has relatives in prison, or maybe just like Mike, she also has potential but is depressed as hell to remain there."

Previously, Rebecca was Mitch McLusky's (Kyle Chandler) secretary, but after his death, she assumed the same role for Mike.

Another fan speculated on Reddit that Mike pays Rebecca handsomely because she knows too much and was fiercely loyal to Mitch, and now to him.

Another fan suggested on Reddit that Rebecca's compensation might be quite substantial, as it is tied to the payments Mike receives for his role as a federal informant. The fan said, "I thought she basically gets the payment that the feds give him for being a paid informant? So…not shit pay."

Another fan shared their views on Reddit, saying, "Her character could be written better. She is just window dressing by this many episodes."

A fan hints that Mike might be giving Rebecca too much freedom, which could allow her to engage in questionable activities behind his back. The fan wrote on Reddit, "I don’t trust ANYONE. It’s not personal. He’s giving her too much rope to do whatever. If she’s doing shady stuff also on the low, I wouldn’t be surprised at all. I feel like she’s annoyed with him. Like babysitting a drunk toddler."

Could Rebecca ever leave her job?

It appears unlikely that Rebecca can ever leave her job, given her circumstances and the complexities of her relationship with Mike and Kingstown.

She may feel obliged to remain as Mike's secretary, especially after Mitch's death, as a sense of loyalty to the McLusky family. It is also possible that she holds a secret that prevents her from leaving her job, as revealing this secret could have serious consequences for her and others. Maybe she knows a secret about the McLusky family that could change everything.

While working with Mike, she always greets him with a smile, but her behavior suggests she doesn't give a damn. Her behavior hints at an underlying dissatisfaction or disinterest in her job.

Rebecca might have a specific goal or objective that she is working towards, which requires her to stay in her current position. She may be continuing the job for a hidden motive and may not leave until it is complete.
