'Mayans MC' Season 2 Episode 7 'Tohil': Miguel puts Emily under surveillance after Marlon's death
Spoilers ahead for season 2 episode 7 'Tohil' of 'Mayans MC'
After EZ (JD Pardo) accidentally kills Marlon, the city clerk in the last episode, he starts ignoring Emily's (Sarah Bolger) calls and messages. Episode 6 'Muluc' had ended with EZ leaving Marlon dead in his own apartment. Marlon had accepted bribes to share insider information that ended up costing Emily her bid for the agro project. EZ had visited him to talk to him about coming clean about taking the bribes.
The conversation, however, quickly went downhill after Marlon pulled a gun on EZ. A little tussle between them for the control of the gun ended in Marlon shooting himself in the chin and through his head, falling dead on the couch. It just so happened that it all looked like a suicide.
The next day, Emily learns of this on the news. She is beside herself and since her constant attempts at getting in touch with EZ are not going through, Emily is desperate to know what had happened. Miguel (Danny Pino) notices the distress but doesn't say anything.
Later that day, Emily and Miguel are called in for a sudden meeting with Mayor Pena (Alexandra Barreto). Arriving is separate cars, they are clueless about the agenda of the meeting. She tells them that one of the clerks from the office was found dead in his apartment in what looks like a suicide. She also tells them that Marlon had admitted to accepting bribes to the argi-park project and that the likely reason he killed himself is because he was debt-ridden.
Mayor Peno tells the couple that now that ChinAgra's bid is disqualified, Galindo Enterprises' "advantageous" bid wins the contract.
Throughout this conversation, Miguel sends suspicious glances Emily's way. Could she have anything to do with the death of this city clerk?
Outside the Mayor's office, Miguel asks Emily if she knew anything about Marlon. She obviously denies but her husband isn't convinced. Despite being extremely stressed about how EZ's planned peaceful talk turned so violent, Emily assures him that his legacy, the Galindo Enterprises, is now one step away from the bloodshed.
Once they get in their respective cars, an uncertain Miguel tells Nestor (Gino Vento) to keep him posted of when and where Emily goes - Miguel wants to know about her whereabouts 24*7.
Will Miguel find out that Emily was somehow involved in this killing? Will he find out about Emily's meeting from later that night?
'Mayans MC' airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm.
