Matthew Morrison is not just an actor, but a dancer and singer-songwriter as well. One can him a jack of all trades, and master of all! Morrison is best known for his portrayal of Link Larkin in the musical 'Hairspray' on Broadway. Morrison will be one of the judges on Season 17 of 'So You Think You Can Dance', alongside Jojo Siwa, and Stephen 'tWitch' Boss. 

You might have also seen this familiar face playing the legendary heartthrob and coach Will Schuester or "Mr Schue" on the famous Fox TV show 'Glee' (from 2009 to 2015). Further, in 2012, Morrison signed with Adam Levine's 222 Records and even received a Tony Award nomination. He was nominated for playing the part of Fabrizio Nacarelli in the musical 'The Light in the Piazza'. Between March 2015 to January 2016, he also nabbed the lead role in the Broadway production of 'Finding Neverland', with the role of JM Barrie. Marc Anthony once said, "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life". It seems Morrison lives by this mantra since his passion is his life.

What is Matthew Morrison's net worth?

While the famous actor is worth $10 million today, it goes without saying that making a living in the entertainment industry was always his calling. All of Morrison's earnings and wealth come from his years of performing on the elite Broadway, which is also why he is invited to be a part of several judging panels as seen on Season 17 of 'So You Think You Can Dance'. The extensive time he has spent on honing his skills for his career has reaped its fruits, thereby, rewarding him via his net worth today. 

Morrison was enrolled at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts for two years, but dropped out and joined the Broadway adaptation of 'Footloose'. This talent powerhouse was already a frequent performer on Broadway by the time he was a freshman in college.



 

During his time at NYU in 1999, Morrison was on the 'Late Show with David Letterman' as one of the five members of the fictional boy band called 'Fresh Step'. Incidentally, the choreographer hired for the band was the same choreographer for the Broadway musical 'Footloose', who aided Morrison to land the gig later that same year!  



 

In 2002, Morrison made a brief appearance in the revival of the 'Rocky Horror Show', after which, he landed the role of Link Larkin in the original cast of the popular musical 'Hairspray' from its opening in 2002 through January 2004. 

The following year, he took up the role of Fabrizio Nacarelli in the musical 'The Light in the Piazza', by Adam Guettel. His stellar performance got him nominated for a Tony Award as well! On the film front, Morrison has appeared in the films, 'Tulip Fever' and 'Crazy Alien'.
 



 

In 2014, Morrison got engaged to his girlfriend of 3 years Renee Puente. The couple is blessed with two children -- a son named Revel James Makai Morrison, and a daughter named Phoenix Monroe.



 

Season 17 of 'So You Think You Can Dance' premieres on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 9 pm ET/PT, on FOX.
