'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 judge Joe Bastianich receives backlash for 'nitpicking' every dish
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 judge Joe Bastianich has recently received backlash for criticizing almost every Fox show contestant. He has been known as the most brutal judge even beating out Gordon Ramsay himself. He never hesitates to speak the truth, even if it hurts.
Joe often gave harsh criticism to contestants and during the first round of the audition, the judge crossed his own limits. He gave only two contestants, 'yes' and rejected all the other amateur chefs despite they received compliments from the other three judges.
Joe criticized a contestant for lacking salt in their dish which left the viewers furious. The Fox show viewers slammed Joe for 'nitpicking' every dish. A social media user tweeted, "Is it me or is Joe like EXTRA harsh on the FIRST cook of @MASTERCHEFonFOX???"
Another person added, "IDK what the fuck is happened to this #MasterChef hastag but super obnoxious… Almost have not as obnoxious as Joe saying no for not having enough salt but saying yes to gummy ass dumplings." Another critic noted, "Joe is just nitpicking at this point tbh." Another internet user penned, "I love Joe, but sometimes, he is hard to get a yes. Remember, these people aren't chefs."
Another X user stated, "Here we go with Joe again. 😆 His role is to provide the dramatic overture." Another Reddit user commented, "Another season of suffering through Joe 😭 I really can't stand him." Another viewer wrote, "Joe seems to always vote no to minority food. Is he a racist? Or only likes food cooked by people that look like him."

Joe Bastianich criticizes his family's cooking skills
'MasterChef' star Joe Bastianich has not even left his family to criticize cooking skills. In a recent interview, Joe called out his wife, Deanna, for having bad cooking skills and infecting their three children with the 'disease.' He slammed his mother's cooking.
Joe's mother is an award-winning chef, cookbook author, and restaurateur Lidia Bastianich. Joe claimed that she has some less-than-delicious cooking quirks. He also claimed that her mother draped cooked food with damp, clean dish towels to keep them warm. Joe argued that it overcooks the food, leaves it soggy, and sometimes even infuses dirty rag flavor.
Joe Bastianich disguised as 'Spaghetti and Meatballs' on 'Masked Singer'
'MasterChef' judge Joe Bastianich recently appeared on 'Masked Singer' Season 11 in a disguise of 'Spaghetti and Meatballs'. He competed against Poodle Moth, Clock, and Lizard. Spaghetti & Meatballs and Lizard finished in the bottom two after the first round of performances and faced off in a Smackdown to the 1977 hit 'Movin' Out'.
After he was eliminated in the singing competition, Joe noted, "Thank you very much. Singing is a passion for me my whole life, so when I got the opportunity to do this and share it with you all, I jumped on it." Joe then treated the audience to another short rendition of 'Only The Good Die Young' with his mask off.
'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 airs every Wednesday at 8 pm ET on Fox
