'Marrying Millions' is a show that chronicles the lives of six couples who are about to get married. However, with just one hitch - one partner might be an heir to millions while the other partner may not be financially sound. This dissimilarity might often lead to the less well off partner being scrutinized by their rich companion's friends and families and at the end of the day leaving the couples with the jarring question - is it true love or just love for the rich life?

Release date

Season 1 of the series was well-received by the audiences and it's for this reason that Lifetime has ordered another season of the show. While the first season comprised of 10, hour-long episodes, Season 2 will have 16 episodes. 'Marrying Millions' Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on August 5, Wednesday.

Plot

In Season 1, we saw regular people being whisked off and plunged into an affluent life full of free-flowing cash, exorbitant experiences and trips around the world that would even put the richest of celebrities to shame. While all this may sound like a splendor filled modern-day fairytale, it's more often than not all daiquiris and truffles. The couples' journey to the altar is marred with worried parents and extra protective friends posing difficult questions and a world full of vast differences that they might have to bridge in order to fit into each other's polar opposite worlds.

Cast

Nonie and Reese, Gentille and Brian, Donovan and Dani, Kevin and Kattie, Rick and Erica, Rodney and Desiry, and Bill and Bri are the seven couples who are all set to begin their journeys.

Showrunners

Emmy-nominated, Gena McCarthy is the Executive Producer for the show. In the past she's been involved in developing and creating shows like 'Dance Moms' and its spin-off, Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition, as well as 'Preachers’ Daughters', 'Project Runway All-Stars', 'Pretty Wicked Moms' and 'Kim of Queens'. She also developed the hit series 'Bring It!' and led the production of the Emmy-nominated smash hit 'Project'.

'Marrying Millions' is produced by Sharp Entertainment for Lifetime and executive produced by Matt Sharp, Dan Adler and Jason Hollis.

Speaking about 'Marrying Millions',  McCarthy said, "We’re so excited to see Marrying Millions break by and are increasing the franchise to super-serve ladies hungry for robust, provocative relationship content material,”.
