June Edith 'Mama June' Shannon's erratic weight loss journey is concerning. She went from 460 pounds to a size four and then packed on extra kilos when she lost track of her clean life. Although she is back to watching her weight, it'll not be an easy task.

Mama June is focused on getting her weight down to 200 pounds, but worried fans feel she may need surgery by Dr. Younan Nowzaradan (aka Dr. Now) of '600 lb-Life'. Dr. Now specializes in gastric bypass surgery, but over the years he has done a variety of general, vascular, and weight-loss surgeries.

"Mama June and Geno are gonna need Dr. Now next! #my600lblife #MamaJune #mamajuneroadtoredemptionm," one fan commented, while another echoed: "Damn June and Geno need Dr Now #MamaJune."

"she looks like a big fat baby!," one user wrote. "Healthy COVID weight? Wth!! Mama June gained 60 lbs and gemo gained 100 lbs?! Dang. Ugh. Not good. @MamaJune_WEtv #MamaJune."

While the viewers are concerned about June and her boyfriend Geno Doak putting on weight, the couple is taking a step at a time. In the 'Mama June: Road to Redemption' premiere episode, we see them opting for beach yoga where they meditate as part of their sobriety program. In a recent interview with In Touch Weekly, June said she'll probably never get back to being 140 pounds and therefore, has set realistic goals for herself.

"With this quarantine, it is kind of hard, but I'm just trying to maintain where I’m at now," June told the outlet and added: "It is kind of work. I mean, I’ll never be back down to like 140 [pounds] and that’s OK with me. Probably my goal now is to be like 200."

They may be turning over a new leaf but it's going to take some time before they can get back to being their old, fitter selves. "He loves me regardless. I [could] be 500 pounds and he’s still gonna love me. He doesn’t care as long as it makes me happy and I’m the same way with him," June added.
