Magic Dates founder Diana Jarrar may have impressed Kevin O'Leary with her impressive pitch for her date-fruit-based super-snack, but she sadly failed to impress 'Shark Tank' fans. The Los Angeles-based entrepreneur walked into the tank seeking an investment of $150,000 in exchange for a 10% stake in her brand.

Diana reminisced about how she grew up eating dates, and the importance of them in the Middle Eastern culture. She then explained how she decided to give the delicious fruit a twist by coating it in 100% dark chocolate and making it a healthy snacking option that can cater to everybody's needs since they are dairy-free, gluten-free, non-GMO, paleo-friendly, and even Kosher! While the Sharks found the dates to be very delicious, they were however unimpressed by her low sales margins. This led to Robert Herjavec and Daymond John not making any offer.

On the other hand, Lori Greiner and Mark Cuban praised Diana's product but felt that the snacking segment was very saturated, so they too decided to sit out on the offer. This left only Kevin O'Leary in the run. Mr Wonderful acknowledged the rich nutritional value of date fruit and revealed that he too ate dates regularly, but he wasn't entirely sure about the pitch. Diana tried to convince him that she knew what she was doing, so he finally decided to make an offer of investing the $150K in exchange for a 33.3% stake.

Diana tried countering his offer by lowering the equity stake, but Kevin made it very clear that he wasn't willing to budge, so she agreed to the deal. Diana may have closed the deal with Kevin, but fans are still skeptical about the product. After learning that Magic Dates were just date fruits coated in dark chocolate, fans began declaring that they could whip it up in their kitchen instead of shelling out money on Magic Dates.

A fan tweeted, "As someone who LOVES dates, I can make these at home? People know about dates? It's not like...rare? #SharkTank." Another fan wrote, "You really really dont need to repackage date fruit #SharkTank its best as is." "We already have a lot of dates out there. I’m sorry I’m out," commented a fan. "I am still surprised that she was able to make a deal with Mr. Wonderful," expressed a fan.
