'MAFS' Season 14: Fans call Jasmina a 'more palatable Alyssa'

When it comes to the couples of 'Married At First Sight', they can certainly use all the help they can get to build a happy marriage. Thankfully, they have the experts to help them out with their communication and intimacy issues. But even then, there is only so much that the experts can do, it all boils down to just how much they're willing to make the marriage work.

On paper, it seemed as though Michael and Jasmina were a good fit, but in reality, it looks like they are far from it. While they do have a few bonding moments, they are outnumbered by the sheer amount of times they end up arguing.

Seeing that communication is the real issue here, it is also affecting their ability to be intimate. While they admit there is attraction, Jasmina feels the need to have an emotional bond before a physical one. Dr Viviana did suggest maintaining a journal for more effective communication. However, Jasmina later claimed it was an exercise for Michael alone, seeing that she has no problem communicating. The couple almost again hit a roadblock, but a tantric yoga class followed by trust exercises eased the tension. However, fans were convinced that Jasmina was set in her ways. 

"Yea… Jasmina is the problem. She's manipulative and unwilling to work on resolving the issue. #Mafs," tweeted a fan. "Jasmina needs therapy. She so combative for absolutely no reason. Michael is trying to provide helpful tips on how they BOTH can better, and all she can do is roll her eyes and speak to him a tone that makes it sound like she's his mother. #MAFS," added another. "Jasmina and Michael make me sad though, because their little off the cuff joking moments really are precious. While Michael and Jasmina clearly had their fair share of problems, fans seemed to have made a startling discovery, comparing Jasmina to Alyssa.
Although Jasmina is not entirely dismissive of Michael the way Alyssa was of Chris, she tends to cut him off and shut down during their arguments, as she often blames him for situations that are caused by both of them. "Is Alyssa nicer than Jasmina? #MarriedAtFirstSight #mafs" asked a fan. "Jasmina is a more palatable Allyssa. #mafs #Marriedatfirstsight," noted another. "Jasmina's 'I/We can just communicate' equals Alyssa's 'I'm a good person.' Like girl, if that were true, you wouldn't have to keep saying it. #mafs," said a fan.
