For Mike and Ximena, things seemed to be going smoothly, with Mike willing to make the changes Ximena wanted. She also agreed to marry him, which was certainly a positive sign. However, during his second trip, it looks like things have shifted between the couple, with Ximena changing her tune when Mike refused to pay for her breast enhancement surgery.

Seeing that Mike was not willing to pay for her surgery, Ximena's attitude seems to have changed entirely. She made Mike sleep in the children's room and even went as far as to tell him that she did not love him. With Mike unsure of their relationship and marriage status, he reached out to his friend John for some clarity. John did not sugarcoat things and told him to leave because Ximena's behavior was alarming.

Mike was still hopeful and figured communication was the issue and asked John's fiancee, Nelcy, to be their translator to understand Ximena's problem. When Nelcy asked what she liked about Mike, Ximena said she was disgusted by Mike, claiming he was 'sloppish' and 'piggish'. Nelcy, who was concerned about Mike, asked Ximena about the money he had given her. Ximena revealed that she stopped working as soon as she met Mike, as he began supporting her and her children entirely. Nelcy, who was concerned about her friend, made it clear to Mike that Ximena was using him for his money and that he should end things and leave immediately. Mike finally began to understand the truth -- it looks like things between him and Ximena might end sooner than expected.
