'Madam Secretary' season 6 premiere reminds us once again why Elizabeth and Henry McCord are TV's favorite couple

Henry was on a talk show only to have a lot of laughs and a slight slip-up that he and Elizabeth tackle just beautifully.

Just one episode into the sixth and final season of CBS' 'Madam Secretary' and fans have been reminded once again why the show's newly elected POTUS, Elizabeth McCord, and her husband Henry, aka the First Gentleman, are relationship goals. In a world full of imperfect real-life relationships and even more messed up portrayals of fictional ones on TV, Elizabeth and Henry are a beacon of hope and emerge to be such a power-packed loved up dynamic duo, even though the First Gentleman did have a minor slip-up on his Stephen Colbert talk show appearance.

During Henry's appearance on the talk show, the immensely accomplished man got his share of laughs. The host acknowledged his incredible career and also noted how Elizabeth finally reigning office means Henry can sit back and relax with his chilled beers and also prospectively host a talk show sometime in the near future. Things, however, fell a little off track when the host asked Henry, how he and Elizabeth still make time for each other, and this made Henry fumble and he spilled that sometimes he and Elizabeth can go weeks without "you know". Yes, the you know is obviously sex, and this proves to be a slight disconcertment between him and Elizabeth.

But worry not, the issue is nothing unsolvable for our 'it' couple. Later in the episode, even as a scandal threatening the legitimacy of Elizabeth's election arises, the new POTUS suggests she and Henry rather talk about their sex life than the whole mess with Iran. Never one to shy away from healthy communication, Elizabeth opens up about how she feels they had more sex before the election, but Henry argues they do have sex post-election. And Henry - like the perfect Gentleman he is - reminds her that while he does feel like he can't take charge with the commander in chief, he does "find it sexy that you (Elizabeth) are my commander." Could these two get any more adorable?

'Madam Secretary' season 6 airs on Sundays at 10pm/9c only on CBS.
