What is 'M3gan' all about?

M3gan is a four-foot tall robot child with artificial intelligence. Her sole purpose in life is to keep her nine-year-old master happy and protect her from all harm, physical and emotional. Over time, as she absorbs more information from the internet, she becomes more and more violent to protect the child. 'M3GAN' is expected to rake in between $17M and $20M this weekend from 3,400 theaters, as per Variety

What makes Chucky so sinister?

Chucky is a vicious serial murderer in the original 1998 film, who after dying from a gunshot wound, transfers his soul into a "Good Guy" doll and tries to find a human body to control throughout the series. Chucky is considered among the most popular horror movies of all time that left people not being able to see cute dolls the same way ever again.

Chucky is reportedly based on a real story from 1906, involving a disturbing doll. Robert Eugene Otto from Key West, Florida, had received a doll he named Robert, as a gift. Otto reportedly blamed all his misfortunes on the doll, suggesting that the toy may not be as innocuous as it looked and something far more sinister was taking place. Soon, schoolchildren began to claim that they had seen Robert appear and then disappear throughout the course of the day as he took a seat on the window ledge of Otto's home, according to Fortune.

How much money has the 'Child's Play' franchise raked in?

The movie became a smash hit as it earned $44.1M globally against a $9M budget. Since then, several sequels with varying levels of success have been made.
