The streaming giant came up with the concept of ‘Love Is Blind’, a show where contestants fall for the “right” partner based only on their voice and personality. The experiment is Netflix’s attempt to help singles find eternal true love.
Possibly taking the premise of “blind dating” a little too far, the streaming platform is back with a new season of their hit show. ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 3 premiered on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, with four new drama-filled episodes served steaming hot for the fans to eat right up! It introduced the viewers to 30 new singles, all looking for the love of their lives. The participants can only see each other once get engaged after they find their ideal match while in the pods. The engaged couples then get a chance to ponder whether they want to truly get married as they take the relationship further on a four-week-long vacation where they spend quality time together. But the relationships don’t always sail on smooth waters. There are plenty of ups and downs that couples face during their time on the show. In the first four episodes, viewers saw Zanab Jaffrey hit it off with Cole Barnett as the duo decided to get engaged. Now, as the couple tests out the waters of their new bond, Zanab can surely be considered one intriguing contestant. Who is Zanab Jaffrey?
From the very minute Zanab, 32, graces the viewers’ screens, she stands out like a sore thumb. Describing herself as an ‘unapologetically picky’ dater, Zanab declared early on the show that she desires a partner who will fill out all her checkboxes. Her ideal partner is loyal, shares her Christian beliefs, has no kids, is taller than her, and is not a smoker.
Zanab is a realtor by profession with Pakistani roots and is originally from London, UK. The reality star currently resides in Dallas. Her biggest pet peeve is “People who can’t read a room.” On the show ‘Love Is Blind’, Zanab was initially interested in Andrew Liu, Cole Barnett, Bartise Bowden, and Brennon Lemieux. After exploring her options and going on many dates, she finally struck a spark with fellow realtor Cole as the two got along on the topic of traveling and exploring many new places together. The duo also bonded on their matching religious beliefs. During one of their dates, Zanab shared that her parents died when she was a teen. And Cole also felt compelled to let Zanab know that he was briefly married before. Although Cole, 26, is much younger than her, Zanab found him to be a good match, and the two shared mutual attraction, which soon led to their engagement.
The dating show star evidently shared an intense connection with her fiancé, but in later episodes of the show, we see Zanab get into a fight with Cole. And after the couple first got intimate, Cole is even heard saying it was good but not great. So will the duo’s relationship fall apart? We’ll only know as the season progresses.
