Spoilers for ‘Love is Blind’ Season 3

DALLAS, TEXAS: In the first three episodes of Netflix’s hit dating show ‘Love Is Blind’, viewers saw 10 singles couple up after their engagements. But being engaged is apparently not enough to stop some of the contestants from eyeing other participants. Bartise Bowden totally proved that in Episode 5.

Bartise, who is engaged to Nancy Rodriguez on the show, previously acted sceptical about his decision to choose Nancy as his fiance. While in the pods, he had also connected with Raven Ross, but he let the pilates instructor go in favor of Nancy. But now that the contestants are finally out of the pods and face to face, Bartise seems to have realized how hot Raven is in real life. He had even mentioned to his fiance that he feels more physically attracted to Raven. But it looks like Bartise even intended to act on his attraction as he tried to chat up Raven during the pool party in Episode 5. Raven, on the other hand, bluntly shut him down.

Raven rejects Bartise’s advances

As the contestants mingled during a pool party, Bartise took the chance to talk to Raven. He appreciated Raven’s looks in his confessional and called her a “head turner.” The two discussed the connection they shared in the pods, and Bartise told Raven how impressed he was when he saw her for the first time. The event conspired as Nancy seemed to observe grimly from afar. Bartise even went as far as to say that the two would’ve been the perfect match because of their similarity.

But Raven was not flattered. In her confessional, she noted that Bartise never had this kind of flattery for “pod Raven” as she observed his attraction to her body over her mind. The pilates instructor shut him down while pointing out to Bartise that she thinks they both made the right choice with their respective fiances, while also reminding him that her connection with SK is what Raven was actually looking for on ‘Love Is Blind’. She told Bartise that she felt that she and Bartise were “emotionally incompatible” and that SK was the one who matched her energy. Raven desired emotional compatibility and growth, something she found in her connection with SK. She also noted it’s something that Bartise is not looking for on the show. Well, hats off to Raven for standing up for herself in such a boss lady style.
