We know that from the time Midori got to talking to Wataru in the pods, she'd constantly ask herself if marriage was in the cards. Even though she and Wataru spent some time together under one roof, she noticed how he was willing to work on himself with her help, when it came to his physique. What's hard to believe is the dynamic that both Midori and Wataru share. Knowing that she's a one-man army, is career-driven, and loves being independent, Wataru doesn't stand in the way of anything that she wants. Midori noticed this and mentions in hindsight that he even gave her space when she felt like things were getting overwhelming.

Up until the very last minute, it seemed like Midori would work up the courage to just say "I don't" at the altar, but she surprised Wataru, herself, and the viewers as well.

In front of friends and family, Midori confessed that she still doesn't know what marriage really is or what it should entail. All that she knows for sure is that she can't do another day without Wataru. And that sealed the deal. Yes, we can all sigh in relief now! The couple said "I do" with the biggest of smiles.

Three months after they exchanged vows, the show hosts ask Midori what changed her mind the day of their wedding. She said that being with Wataru both changed and helped her grow as a person. She loved that Wataru was fond of her dog Lupin. He even looked up a house for the three of them to live in together as a family.

The last two episodes of Season 1 of 'Love is Blind: Japan' premiered on February 22, 2022, on Netflix.
