'Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta' Season 9: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the VH1 show

The second installment of the 'Love and Hip Hop' reality television franchise - 'Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta' documents the lives of several people belonging to the hip hop world from Atlanta. The show has successfully completed eight drama-packed seasons and is all set to return for its ninth season. The creators have a lot of exciting things in store for the upcoming season. 

Release Date

Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta is all set to premiere on Friday, March 16, 2020, on VH1.

Plot

The show follows the lives of influential people from Atlanta's hip hop world. What makes the show popular among fans is the drama that follows when the professional and private lives of these people collide and disentangle in the most dramatized way possible. The show has always been plagued by talks of it being scripted however showrunners maintain that it is not the case.

Cast

Several confirmed returning members from the original cast including names like Mimi Faust, Rasheeda, Stevie J and Karlie Redd will be returning for the ninth outing of the show. Other long time cast members that would be returning for the season include Yung Joc, Scrappy, Kirk Frost, Bambi and Momma Dee. 

Returning members who have joined the show in the recent past include Scrapp DeLeon, Spice and Kendra Robinson. Shekinah, Karen 'KK', Akbar V and BK Brasco are also expected to return. Also added to the LHHATL Season 9 roster include Tokyo Vanity and former Love and Hip Hop : Hollywood star Alexis Skyy. Apart from the two female rappers, LightSkinKeisha and Kiyomi Leslie have been listed as the new members.

It will be interesting to see if LightSkinKeisha and Akbar V cross paths on the show which is highly unlikely as Akbar revealed that Keisha is scared to film with her.

The trailer for the ninth season promises a lot of drama. The narrative of the thirty-second trailer reveals that the season is going to have shocking elements in copious measures, a lot of betrayals, dirty secrets will be out in the open, a lot of heartbreak and basically everything is on the line for the cast.
