'Love 101': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about Netflix's Turkish teen drama

The streaming service has many originals hitting its platform in April, including a Turkish drama that would entice fans of Netflix's 'Elite'.
Netflix's Turkish dramas so far have been well received. The upcoming show, 'Love 101' will, however, be different from 'The Protector' and 'The Gift' in that it will be targeted to a different audience. Read on to know more details about the show.
Release date
All episodes of the first season of the Turkish drama will release on Netflix on April 24.
Plot
Set primarily in 1998, with present-day vignettes that frame each episode, the Turkish drama follows a group of 17-year-old misfits who set their mind on keeping their favorite teacher in town, so that they can stay in school.
The students plot for her to fall in love with the new basketball coach, but in doing so they don't realize that they are actually discovering love themselves. Through this journey they will learn they have more in common than they know, are stronger together than they are apart and that love can’t be manufactured.

The show stars Kubilay Aka as Kerem, Kaan Urgancıoğlu as Kemal, Alina Boz as Eda, Pınar Deniz as Burcu, Mert Yazıcıoğlu as Sinan, Selahattin Paşalı as Osman, İpek Filiz Yazıcı as Işık, Bade İşçil, and Müfit Kayacan as Necdet.

The series was created by Meriç Acemi who is known for her work on 'Erkenci Kus' and 'Ufak Tefek Cinayetler'.
