'Lost in Space' Season 3 Episode 5: Emotions run high as Robinsons separate again
The latest season of ‘Lost in Space’ has finally seen the parents and children getting reunited after a very long time. An elaborated plan made by Will Robinson (Maxwell Jenkins) made it possible for them to distract Second Alien Robot (SAR) from destroying Jupiter 2, where all the parents were residing. Everyone gets reunited with their parents and for a moment, it was only happiness everywhere.
However, the adventure hasn’t ended and they still need to go to Alpha Centauri. They make an elaborate plan to reach Alpha Centauri as people have been divided into groups and will sit inside their Jupiters to start the journey. As soon as the plan gets initiated, some reinforcements from SAR reach there and try killing them. Everyone gets out of there, including the Robinsons.

They are traveling in Fortuna while Judy (Taylor Russell) and Maureen (Molly Parker) are in one of the Jupiters. They get attacked by the reinforcements and lose the way. As others are on course to reach Alpha Centauri, the Robinsons, along with Smith, have got separated again while landing on an unknown planet. Judy and Maureen are in Jupiter and as soon as Maureen tries to stand up from her chair, she realizes that the rocket thrusters beneath her seat are still activated and she’s sitting on a landmine.
Judy does everything to support her mom. In between, we get some flashbacks from the time when Judy was a small baby and Maureen was trying to make her sleep. She made it clear then and there that she will not be abandoning her. In the present day, Maureen and Judy get into more trouble as a big monster-like creature from the unknown planet is trying to swallow them. When they believe that there is no way of getting past the monster, Judy thinks of a way to hurt the monster and get away from that situation. She put some kind of spray on the rocket thrusters which will give some time to Maureen to get down from the chair.
She quickly gets down from the chair and they both hide in a box to mark themselves safe. The blast hurts the monster as they get out of his mouth. During the episode, we got to know that Maureen was protective of Judy from the beginning and shared a unique bond with her. Judy blames herself for taking away her mom’s dream of becoming an astronaut, but Maureen says that she has no regrets whatsoever.
They both share a sweet hug with each other as the episode came to an end.
Elsewhere, John and Penny have found Will and Smith. The robot has also come. Now, they have started to find the rest of the family.
