All members of the Robinson family are trying to find each other and doing their best to reach Alpha Centauri. On one hand, the Robinson children have finally repaired the ship and are set to launch it for Alpha Centauri. On the other hand, John (Toby Stephens) and Maureen (Molly Parker) are looking to repair their ship so that they can leave for Alpha Centauri.

During Episode 2, we saw Scarecrow, a friendly robot, coming inside the ship of John and Maureen. Through telepathy, Will’s robot connected him and Penny (Mina Sundwall) to their parents and had a conversation with each other. We got to know that Scarecrow is there to help them and will fly them to the place that they want to go to. In Episode 3 of the Netflix sci-fi show, Scarecrow takes them to the place where other evil robots are present and tells the trio of John, Maureen, and Don West to distract other robots while he takes on two.

The trio, along with Scarecrow, reaches their ship and makes a plan to achieve what they want to. Don and John are working on a vehicle that would help them in distracting the robots. However, the atmosphere is too hot so they would want a large quantity of coolant to keep the vehicle moving. So, the plan is to distract the robots present outside to follow the vehicle so that Maureen and Scarecrow could get the part they need to fix the ship.

John drives the vehicle to different places on the planet as robots follow him.
Everything is going per the plan and Scarecrow has managed to reach the alien ship. The robot goes inside and kills two of the robots to get the technology that will help John, Maureen, and others to reach Alpha Centauri. However, all the robots following John’s vehicle have stopped suddenly and are not following them. He stops the vehicle and sees them as the robots just stand there and look at the vehicle.

John understands the situation and says, “We are not distracting, they are distracting us.” Elsewhere, Scarecrow has what was needed but suddenly two robots from under the ground capture it and make it a hostage. On the other hand, the Second Alien Robot (SAR) also emerges from the ground and puts a needle inside Scarecrow’s head. SAR takes the ship and flies away with Scarecrow.

John and Don reach Maureen as the ship takes off. With that, Maureen believes that their hopes of leaving for Alpha Centauri have been dashed.
