Lollapalooza 2022: How to watch BTS J-hope and TXT on Weverse and Hulu for free

BTS' J-hope and TXT become the first K-pop acts to perform at Lollapalooza 2022

It looks like K-pop is indeed taking over the West as we first had Coachella turning into a mini K-pop festival with tons of iconic acts performing from GOT7’s Jackson and aespa to 2NE1 reuniting for the first time. BTS fans were pleasantly surprised when it was announced that J-hope would become the first South Korean artist to headline a major US music festival with Lollapalooza 2022. If that wasn’t enough, turns out that Lollapalooza had also roped in his labelmates, the leading fourth-gen boy group TXT. And their label is going all out for it as Weverse is set to live-stream it for free.

With J-hope already in Chicago and The Lab sharing his and Becky G’s viral collab ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’, fans think that we will get a live stage at Lollapalooza. On the other hand, TXT is already in USA for their first world tour ‘Act: Love Sick’ which began in Chicago itself on July 7. Founder Perry Farrell also welcomed J-hope and TXT with fans realizing that the two K-pop acts were personally invited to perform at the music festival. Well, even if you are not in Chicago, international fans can watch the BTS star and TXT for free on Weverse and Hulu.

Concert date and time

J-hope will be headlining Lollapalooza 2022 on Sunday, July 31 at 9 pm CT/10 pm EST. His labelmates, TXT will be performing on Saturday, July 30 at 7:45 pm CT/8:45 pm EST.

Venue

For those lucky enough to be in Chicago, J-hope will be performing at the Bud Light Seltzer stage. TXT will be on the Solana x Perry’s stage.

Where and how to watch

Weverse Live has shared that they will be live-streaming J-hope and TXT’s sets for free. It will be on the Weverse app which is the new version of the usual VLive that K-pop fans know of. However, it is currently not available for those currently located in USA. The whole of Lollapalooza 2022 will also be live-streamed on Hulu. Fans can watch it for free by getting a 30-day free trial. 

‘We won’

Fans are excited as they made tweets like, “Cool kids watch lollapalooza on weverse live.” Another shared, “So weverse live is streaming both txt & hobi’s sets at lollapalooza on the weekend? Yaaassss.” A BTS fan hoped, “The Lab posting about CNS tagging Becky G is getting my hopes up to see them perform at lolapalooza 😭😭 please don't do this to me.” Another commented, “OMG WE WILL HAVE A LIVE ON WEVERSE FROM THE LOLLAPALOOZA FESTIVAL WHERE HOSEOK WILL PERFORMING HIS NEW ALBUM.”

A TXT fan added, “Hybe finally realizing that most kpop stans are students who are too broke to afford paid content so they decided to stream the entirety of txt’s lollapalooza performance for free on weverse.” Another wrote, “WEVERSE LIVE IS STREAMING TXT LOLLAPALOOZA FOR FREE WE WON.”
