'DWTS' Season 31: Fans call Daniel Durant's performance 'not his best', praise Brett Stewart for being a patient partner
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: With 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 31 airing, a large section of fans is rooting for a few particular couples. One fan-favorite pair is 'CODA' actor Daniel Durant and pro Britt Stewart's jive. 'DWTS' fans have a soft corner for the deaf actor. But, is that reason why judges happen to be soft on them as well? Keep reading to know.
Daniel and Britt jived on 'King Creole' at Elvis Presley night live performance. Before the dance, Britt was seen being concerned about jamming with Daniel's timing during the performance because of his deafness. However, Britt managed to come up with cues for him to understand. Their performance was overall good and received both audible as well as sign-language appreciation from judges and the audience. The panelists seemed to choose the safe comment. Derek Hough commented Daniel was "in character from start to finish, but his free arm was a little sloppy". On the other hand, Carrie Ann thought that it was hard to perform the song without being able to hear it. Well, three of the judges went with giving 7 and one 8, making them reach an overall of 29/40.

Fans know it's hard for Daniel to cope with the dancing show without being able to hear the songs. "Daniel and Britt he has such a good personality and enjoying the process so far and eager to learn. He has two mom's that raised him seem just as fun as him. He needs work this seems like a harder dance for him but they did ok. They have more potential to come as well #DWTS", claimed a fan. Another commentor talked about Daniel and Brett's dance, "Are Daniel and Britt tap dancing during their jive? Very cool. #dwts". Moreover, a few appreciated the show for bringing actors like Daniel. "Daniel Durant!!!! I’m so glad that @officialdwts is being diverse and bringing on those with a disability. Britt is such a champ by picking up sign language too #DWTS", commented a fan.
