'LHHATL': Kirk Frost dubbed 'trash' for meeting son after 18 years, fans say it's for storyline

If you thought you knew all about Kirk and Rasheeda Frost, the OG cast members of 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta', then you might want to reconsider. Despite watching Kirk and Rasheeda's family drama play out on our TV screens over the years, fans were surprised to see Rasheeda's sister making a surprise guest appearance on the previous episode of 'LHHATL'. But that isn't the only surprise that the Frost family has in store for us.

The recently aired episode of 'LHHATL' saw Kirk revealing details about his oldest child — Christopher. During a radio show to honor rapper DMX's tragic passing, Kirk expressed how he learned the importance of expressing love to your loved ones while one is still around. He then added that he was going to touch base with his oldest son Christopher, who he hadn't seen in a long time. Kirk then later explained that his son was addicted to substances and was in a dark place in life. So, he just wanted to check in on him and make sure everything was alright with him.

Just as we were beginning to appreciate Kirk's thoughts and efforts, Christopher revealed the other side of the story. Christopher, who is currently 30 years old revealed that he had last seen his father when he was 12 years old. He explained how he was lonely and felt like he had nobody to turn to or nowhere to go, so he turned to drugs. But after having two daughters, Christopher realized that he needed to turn things around and is currently working on rebuilding his life and giving a better life to his two girls. 

While fans were pleased to see that Christopher was doing fine, they were also furious at Kirk for being an absent father. A fan tweeted, "Kirk you wrong as hell for not seeing your son since he was 12 and he 30…….. like what. #LHHATL." Another fan wrote, "Kirk is so trash.. you haven’t seen your oldest son since he was 12 and he’s 30?!? #LHHATL." "So they just gonna casually tell us that Kirk ain’t seen his oldest son since he was 12? He’s disgusting. #lhhatl," added a fan.

Few fans also wondered if Kirk was reconnecting with his long-lost son just for a 'storyline' on 'LHHATL'. A fan shared, "Kirk saw fit to use his son as a stotyline thats what this is dont use x death to act like you wanna be a father to allllllll your kids hes grown now where were you then #LHHATL." "Girl Rasheeda and Kirk digging up their old family members for a storyline. #LHHATL," echoed a fan. "#lhhatl Kirk doesn't have a storyline at all and he has a son that's 30 and he hasn't made and attempt to have the child on the show and now all of sudden he wants visit him with cameras and more," observed a fan.
