Legacies' Season 2: Landon and Hope work together to save Rafael stuck in wolf form
A lot happened in this week's episode of 'Legacies' - the annual flag football game between the Salvatore School and Mystic Falls High got ugly, Lizzie made out with Sebastian who turned out to invisible or a ghost (at least, to MG), Alaric met the new Sheriff who certainly is interested in him, and monster hunting werewolves terrorized the woods, leading Landon and Hope to work together to find and save Rafael, who was still stuck in his wolf form after turning during the fight with the Triad in the last season finale.
Landon first realizes that Hope is a witch when he catches her in his room performing a scrying spell. Later, when Hope turns into a werewolf to distract the monster - which did not work as it turns out that the monsters are now after Landon - leading Landon to realize that she is a "werewitch." Hope manages to turn Rafael back who shoots the monster as it is dragging Landon away, and Landon finishes the job by stabbing it through its head.
The two brothers reunite, much to Hope's and the viewers' happiness and Rafael thanks Landon for not giving up on saving him. Later, the two are back at the school sleeping, when Landon wakes up to Rafael having nightmares and crouching and growling on the floor. Landon throws a blanket over his friend and comforts him. Rafael is clearly suffering from the trauma of being stuck in his wolf form for so long and we could see him dealing with it through the first half of the season. It is possible that Hope helps him get through this, and though Rafael doesn't remember Hope either, this could mean that the two grow closer.
However, viewers will have to wait a little longer to see what happens next as the fourth episode of the next season will not be airing for another two weeks. When 'Legacies' returns on 7th November, we will see Landon and Rafael trying to learn more about Hope - probably much to Josie's displeasure.
