'Legacies' Season 2 Episode 15: Rafael may have killed Landon and some fans hope he stays dead
Spoilers for 'Legacies' Season 2 Episode 15 'Life Was So Much Easier When I Only Cared About Myself'
After last week's episode of 'Legacies' where Rafael Waithe hid details of the Necromancer being present in the simulation from his friends, many fans guessed that he was dead and that now he is under the Necromancer's control.
The fans were right as this week's episode of 'Legacies' revealed that Rafael was indeed killed by the Necromancer's lackey and he now has no free choice — the Necromancer controls all of his actions.
That does not mean Rafael is not himself, which inevitably leads us to understand that what happened towards the end of this week's episode is going to haunt him. After revealing that truth about being dead to Landon Kirby who is his best friend, Rafael asks him to kill him.
Landon is, of course, not able to and unfortunately, Rafael is taken over by the Necromancer as Landon is stabbed in the chest by the golden arrow the Necromancer and his follower stole from the school in an episode a few weeks back.
Of course, this implies that the Oracle's premonition of a "hero felled by a golden arrow" did indeed refer to Landon, again as many fans suspected was the case. However, we don't really know if Landon is the hero implied, and if he isn't, then taking out the arrow should bring him back. Moreover, since Lizzie's life is now tethered to Landon's, we suspect she might be dead (again) too.
The new developments shocked fans, and while there are fans who hope Landon's death is temporary, many want the character to remain dead. A viewer tweeted, "NO WAY THE GOLDEN ARROW LANDON'S DEAD ARE YOU KIDDING ME #legacies."
One fan wrote, "I hope Landon stays dead this time. #Legacies." Another joked, "Writers thought we were going to cry over Landon's death but we're all partying #Legacies."
There are, of course, fans who feel shaken by Landon's dead, especially those who now worry about how Hope Mikaelson and Rafael will take it. One fan wrote, "Raf is dead & has been for a while & was just forced to kill his brother. Landon was holding onto Raf not wanting to believe he was dead & got stabbed for it. Hope is gonna wake up discovering that 2 more people she loves are dead... #Legacies."
Another tweeted, "[I know] they didn’t just kill Landon like that bc if Hope finds out that while she was trying to save Josie, Landon died...she’ll never let herself be happy again. And I can’t handle that, so, therefore, Landon’s not permanently dead. He can’t be. I speak it into existence. #Legacies."
'Legacies' airs on The CW on Thursday nights at 9/8c.
