'Legacies' Season 2 Episode 12 Preview: Could Kai Parker's terrifying return mean the arrival of dark Josie?
This week's episode of 'Legacies' will finally feature the much-awaited return of Chris Wood as Kai Parker on 'Legacies' and fans who have been missing the character since the final season of 'The Vampire Diaries' can now relive his glory days.
To recap how Julie Plec facilitated Kai's return on 'Legacies', we need to go back by two episodes when Alyssa Chang's history was revealed to viewers. Alyssa was a "problem" child and Alaric considered sending her to a prison world because he did not know how else to deal with her.
Salvatore School teacher Emma, however, insists on erasing the young witch's mind so she can start anew. When Josie performed a purge spell earlier in the season, Alyssa's memories of her past also came back.
In a bid for revenge, while Josie, Lizzie and the other witches performed a spell to create a new prison world to send Josie's dark magic hourglass to, Alyssa covertly performed another spell to send the Saltzmans to the prison world Alaric sends problematic supernatural students to. This is the same one the twins created to trap their evil uncle, Kai, who is responsible for their mother's death.
The synopsis for this week's episode does not reveal much, signifying just how terrifying Kai's return is going to be. The promo does, however, offer us more clues. Alaric immediately recognizes that they are in danger and that they have to get out soon.
However, it looks like Kai has prepared quite well in the years he has been marooned on the prison world. He captures Alaric and tells Josie, "To save your dad and get home, you have to become a monster."
This means one thing — Kai wants Josie to break the hourglass and become dark Josie. From a shot in the promo, it looks like Kai is going to get what he wants as Josie is shown throwing the hourglass and her eyes becoming black.
Viewers can certainly expect some big events in this episode and we cannot wait to find what chaos Kai will unleash this week.
