‘Lee Mujin Service’: Is Stray Kids’ Seungmin the next guest on digital monster's show?

Popular rookie singer Lee Mujin roped in (G)I-DLE's Minnie as the first guest of his show

South Korea is seeing a rush of new talents making it big since last year and Lee Mujin happens to be one of them. The rookie singer debuted in 2021 after becoming the second runner-up in the talent competition ‘Sing Again’. His debut single ‘Traffic Lights’ was an immense hit in South Korea as it topped charts for several weeks in a row and was nominated, and won, in almost every major K-pop awards show like Gaon, GDA, MMA, and SMA. He even got his own music show ‘Lee Mujin Service’ and has acclaimed guests like (G)I-DLE’s Minnie and possibly Stray Kids’ Seungmin.

Lee Mujin has been on a roll since his debut as he has worked with the likes of Heize, lent his voice for OSTs in popular K-dramas like ‘Hospital Playlist’ season 2 and ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’. He was also roped in to become a part of the panel of the very show he had competed in as he became a regular cast member of ‘Sing Again’s spinoff, ‘Famous Singer’. KBS has given him his own YouTube show ‘Lee Mujin Service’ where he invites guests and covers iconic songs by the likes of (G)I-DLE, IU, and BTS.

Is Seungmin the next guest

In the very first episode of ‘Lee Mujin Service’, the guest was none other than (G)I-DLE’s main vocalist Minnie, who did covers with Mujin on songs like ‘Senorita’, ‘Propose’, ‘Traffic Light’ and ‘Lost Stars’. Those excited for the second episode went into a frenzy when KBS dropped a teaser in which Mujin sings IU’s ‘My Sea’. While we couldn’t see the guest, the singer amazed everyone by harmonizing flawlessly with Mujiin. However, a majority of Stays (Stray Kids’ fandom) are confident that the guest is none other than Stray Kids’ vocalist, Seungmin.

'I feel like a proud mom'

Excited Stays made tweets like, “KIM SEUNGMIN I HEAR YOU.” Another fan posted, “LEE MUJIN x KIM SEUNGMIN.. IF IT'S TRUE THEN, IT WILL BE SUCH A GOOD OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR SEUNGMIN.. HE DESERVES THIS SO MUCH.. AND LEE MUJIN THE DIGIMON RIGHT BEFORE THE CB.” One Stay commented, “Kim seungmin the nation’s vocalist covering a digital monster’s song with another digital monster.” 

Another pointed out, “Also guys lee mujin & kim seungmin are the same age hdhsjsjssjak.” One fan was proud, “Why do i feel like a proud mom???? 😭😭😭 my kim seungmin you deserve it all.” Another Stay added, “Seungmin featuring on lee mujin’s song is big BIG, it seriously proves that seungmin’s voice tone is really that unique and impactful, he just has THAT voice that u would definitely say it’s the kim seungmin that’s singing i’m so proud.”
